Vogue Italia September 2008 : Viktoriya Sasonkina by Steven Meisel

I like this, but I too wish this issue included the editorial that got pulled. This is nice, but in September, when everyone is hyped about fashion, I would like something a bit more powerful and sexy. Oh well.

"She got Bette Davis eyes
And she'll tease you
She'll unease you
All the better just to please you
She's precocious...... "

Not a fan of Viktoriya but i simply adore this cover, and how fantastic that Andrew Richardson got to style it.^_^

Love the make-up and how intense her eyes are.

I supose it will look better with the real colours, those ones are a bit poor. The cover could have been better, I think it's more suitable for... some kind of Marlene Dietrich pose rather that weak pose that doesn't make me say anything else than beautiful eyes.
But anyway, it's a nice cover, and I like the fact that you can see her hands, what she's doing, more than just being a simple headshot.

what is this about an ed getting pulled?
Ive missed to much since I have been away

Great photo, that cover looks like vintage. I love Victoriya's eyes! :woot:

Uhm well the editorial's theme looks really nice but I dont like the model so quite diappointing imo... would have liked to see for example MCB

Mhm old glamourous Hollywood. Not so exciting. Not my favourite Meisel editorial and definitely not my favourite model. Hopefully therer are more models in this, if not. I will skip this.

The editorial is alot better than the cover! I'd love to have seen the cover in black and white.

^^^^ It's Viktoriya OG for the main spread. There are quite a few more shots in her book at Women Milan.

Okay then I will really skip this, thanks's Plato's_Cave. I mean the theme is not so bad and the pictures are okay but I'm not a big fan of black and white pictures.

In the second shot, Vik has a bit of Caroline in her. But altogether, it's very Jean Harlow, especially in the fourth shot.

Is this the full editorial now? I guess not...

the cover is not bad, I love the vintage look of it. The model really does look like another stam like meisel likes

The cover is nice, but nothing too special. The editorial on the other hand is stunning IMO. I love the old Hollywood kind of feel and that it is in black and white.
