Love the vintage atmosphere. And this girl is so versatile Her shots are amazing! Meisel is an exclent photographer...

How could a rhetorical question be obvious when in writing, Anyways I would pull out a few pictures of Davis looking soft, but you can just Google it yourself, most of her images she looks very soft to me, clearly we don't see eye to eye on this, so give it a rest.

Seriously, a 30's inspired shoot for SEPTEMBER? I can't believe this. After the last 2 years of September brilliance - we get this?

Plus, its not even original on Meisel's behalf. Mert & Marcus play with the Jean Harlow-esque woman in TONS of their shoots. This looks like a second rate version of their work.

I remember the days when I used to cry of pure excitement and swoon over the brilliance of Vogue Italia. This is really truly disappointing.

I am falling asleep with these pictures. They are lovely, but that is it. I am not a fan of Anna S., but I would rather her and Daul have gotten the cover with the overly racy cover they were rumored to have.

Also, I thought it was Stam at first.

Miss_Dalloway I completely see where you're coming from. The reference is pretty much obviously obvious. Bette Davis as a daylight especially with those eyes and hair.

I don't like this... Viktoriya is the same kind of model as Agnete or camilla: generic and boring... Meisel needs to wake up, most of his covers have been utterly disappointing lately... and how could his taste in model change so much? Daria, Elise, Eugenia... Those girls stood out...
