The twins story is quite enjoyable and the issue as a whole isn't neccessarily bad, but it simply feels empty without AdR + Luigi & Iango's kitsch glamour. They have built such a strong and recognisable identity for this magazine that I know I'm going to miss as much as Alt's VP. You could always count on Vogue Japan to give you the same gorgeous top models with a glam tocuh (and a harmless bit of retouch) by Luigi & Iango and it (almost) always looked great.
I don't hate this, but going down the line it isn't the type of content I'd anticipate with excitement every month.

Vogue Japan is dying

I think Vogue 'global' is dying because these themes don't allow editions to develop an authentic identity for their readers.
'Brand New Beauty' is quite lovely

The contents are not necessarily bad, but it all feels very local or regional.

Very nice issue, for me this time. Vogue Taiwan and Vogue Singapore did a great job for September and so did Vogue Japan. Vogue China was weak and all the other Vogue editions for September were just on vacation mode so it was pretty boring. Love the styling and photos in the covershoot editorial.

I see some localization efforts in bad quality.

It seems a lot of asian editions came to an agreement to make the subjects pose in front of the sun, city on the bottom for August.
