Vogue Netherlands April 2017 : Doutzen Kroes & Lara Stone by Mario Testino

Is this an outtake from the Towel Series?

This feels like the sister cover of VP May 2014 with Sophie Marceau by Mario. Remember that horrible orange background? It's back. The orange filter is an eyesore. It feels like they were constrained to put the filter because if not, this would've easily be mistaken for a Terry Richardson cover.

Lazy.

Why on earth is "Nederland" outside the "O"?

Another Mario Testino special issue that's not worth remembering.

Finally an exciting and iconic cover!!!!! after all the Bella/Gigi/Piergiorgio's blips everywhere that's been thrown at us.

I think it will even look better in real life. I like it. 2 great models.

This special issue is not worth remembering? So that means you've already seen the contents? Could you tell us what's inside? :flower:

Anyway, I love the cover. It's a great way to celebrate Vogue NL's 5th anniversary. Lara and Doutzen look stunning! I like the orange filter. Since its our national colour I think its quite appropriate, especially for the month of April when we celebrate Kingsday.

The only thing that's bothering me is the background between Doutzen and Lara's head. A part of the 'G' should've been visible there.

Love it! Lara and Doutzen looking really good on it! The orange, not sure maybe it looks better when you actually see in the store. Although i also find it smart to make it orange, it's about Dutch pride and orange is the color to wear by important games and kingsday.

I like the cover and the orange filter, same as I liked Marceau´s cover... it just works for me, perhaps it´s too literal but still. The editorial preview seems lazy and boring though...

I love it.
Apparantly, Testino shot 33 Dutch models spread over 6 editorials for this issue.

Thinking of issue #1 and how the Dutch identity was captured with models looking like housewives eating haring on their bikes surrounded by tulips, it's wonderful to see they seem to be embracing a different part of the Dutch identity five years later. One that's far more forward, relevant and intelligent. Set against the rest of the Dutch magazine market, where several of the main players never shy away from fitting those characteristics, it's great that Vogue Netherlands is establishing its own voice in that conversation.

WOAH WOAH WOAH! Brilliant and exciting cover!
I guess the layout is going to be in gold letters, won't it?
I'll buy it!

I get that it must to be orange, but everything, even their skintone?? Black and gold or silver can be so effective and classy at times. All this orange makes it look cheap.

i do not think i can ask my mother in law to pick this up!
It's a strong cover, quite suitable for a celebration, but i simply hate "faux lesbianism".

What an amazing cover!! This is so powerful and sexy, truly iconic.
