Vogue Japan September 2017 by Luigi & Iango

I want to be excited by this ed but the models come across as factory created fembots. Sometimes that can work for me but it's not happening this time.

This editorial and Meisel's July Vogue Italia editorial are the best I've seen this year. I am so buying both.

Now there's a charming idea for a HF editorial! Someone should make it happen.

Just got this issue in the bookstore.

There is only one cover which is the group shot in Prada. All the other "so-called" solo cover images are in the ed with the "cover layout" (e.g. VOGUE logo on the top + cover tagline on the bottom).

There is another ed by Giampaolo Sgura which imo is a total Meisel rip-off.

^ Sgura editorial might be Estella Boersma? She posted this but I'm not sure if it's for September.

Never understood why magazines do this. It's almost as if they've mocked up all those covers as tries but didn't want to part with the. I think Spanish Vogue also did it for their anniversary issue.

Please don't tell me the iconic pic with red Fendi boots is outtake?
That would be extremely disappointing

Each of Their Close up shots can make any good Vogue Cover

Must say I've warmed to Vogue Japan's art direction, here it actually looks nice. And I'm looking forward to Cavaco's not to the Queen.
