"Peru gives you vertigo. Between the heights of Huascarán and the beaches of Lima, there is a difference of 7000m. For this issue, we made the jump with Mario Testino," wrote Emmanuelle Alt, editor-in-chief of Vogue Paris in her editorial for the April 2013 issue. The photographer introduced us to the enchanting contrasts of his homeland through a high-color fashion triptyque, featuring three stories and three magnificent panoramas, with three fabulous girls: the mountains of Cuzco with Isabeli Fontana - our April cover girl - and Aymeline Valade, the Peruvian coast with Kate Moss and the Nazca desert with Erin Wasson. It was a chance for Mario Testino to share his memories and show off the contemporary Peru for which he works tirelessly through his MATE organization. From top tables to the shops, bars and cafés you need to know about, the photographer shares his personal favorites as we meet artists like Nobel prize for literature winner Mario Vargas Llosa and learn about the artisan expertise that goes into locally woven embellished fabrics, beribboned hats and fine embroidery. As the country looks set to become the new Eldorado of South America, its greatest ambassador shows us Peru, in all its blazing glory.

It looks like a Giampaolo Sgura's cover styled by Anna Dello Russo, is it just me? Very similar to the theme of Vogue Brazil with Giampaolo Sgura... i don't like this cover at all even if i'm a big fan of Isabeli and Mario Testino!!

... photoshop disaster.
Why does magazine continue to take photos : draw ! paint ! it will be more realistic than this.

Vogue Paris is just sick at this point.

the camera should be yanked-out of Testino's hands :o
as someone stated somewhere on the net :D

Did they follow a class in handicraft? I'm getting a Maya/Aztec feeling from this.
The hat clashes with the rest.

I love the landscape in the background but a lot more could've been done with Isabeli.

Can't believe this is a VP cover, it looks like a Vogue Portugal cover more. I don't like Isabeli and this cover, but it's not too bad tbh.

Oh Lord, that's a very unfortunate cover. Something is off from the cover

Alt should stop using Testino. He hasn`t delivered a cover that I like so far, including this one. Isabeli`s face look like she`s smirking because of a photoshop disaster. The head is the problem here, if she were tilting it upward and make it seem sexual, this would`ve been amazing!

well I actually love it! I hate their studio ones they are so boring, this is good!

I'm huge fan of Isabeli but this doesn't look good at all, I hope her ed is much better than the cover
