Vogue Paris March 2021 : Quinn Mora by David Sims

Very amateur, it's hard to believe that there is a professional team behind this...I like the fact that she choose a new face but wow this choice is indeed very random, anyway where is Mario Sorrenti ? his work for VP has always been creative...

I said it many times. 21 years of VP, time to go girl...

Yes. Every party must comes to an end. It's time for someone to take over and modernize VP.

Who do you think can take over? I want Suzanne Koller, Anastasia Barbieri, or even MAS so she can finally leave LV a lone. Or I must add you Lola.

Anyway whoever it is I just hope VP remain fashion focus because it's the only one in the big 4 that still does.

lol! Thank you but please, leave me out of that.
The women you mentioned would be great for the title. Not MAS tho.
She will continue to follow Nicolas wherever he goes. But Barbieri is on the top of my list. I hope M&M or Baron/Templer would be on board too and THEY MUST add new talents. Instead of having their assistant do a delite version of them on the En Vogue spreads...

VP cannot afford to not be fashion focused. France is not the US or UK. We can accept opinion from Le Monde or ELLE or Madame Figaro but certainly not from Vogue or Numero.
We have very low tolerance for that and tbh, politics is still a very taboo subject in France...As much as money I must say.

Ferdinando did worse things than this. Only like the 90s vibe, but it lacks of something. I agree with that.

Who is she? This isn't bad but isn't great either. The black styling looks very plain, there's nothing that sticks out. Forgettable, sadly.

She was at Bottega ad for Fw20 and Stella McCartney SS21 lookbook, Chanel last HC and Valentino last Ready to wear. Also for what i see she made a covef for M le monde and HB us editorial. She is in developing so this cover will give a good boost to her career.

I mean, I’m the only constent underwhelmed person on Emmanuelle’s covers and issue. So, it’s another disappointment.

I thought I was the only one too!
bye bye Emmanuelle! :mohawk:

Barbieri would be my pick out of this bunch.
MAS has lost her touch... whatever she’s been doing with NG lately is terrible.

I would also add Fabien Baron or Karl Templer to the people who could replace Alt at VP.

With a different outfit and layout, it could have been a stellar cover. How to evoke movement and have her in the stiffest outfit of the collection.

There were feathers and chiffon in that YSL collection!

I love Cindy but tbh, she is more Elle than Vogue at this point of her career...
Even if that mainstream popularity is great, she is not really affiliated with a huge designer that counts for VP (except maybe for Olivier)..
I think we're both in the minority my friend.

I don't find this appealing at all. She looks about 11. An 11 year old coming from a good family but with a temper. What will she do with her right arm? Not play the violin?

Is funny how most of us gonna give this cover a free pass just because we expect great fashion content in the issue but... makes me a little upset because other titles are dragged every month just because of their covers no matter if they deliver good and consistent editorial content (cof cof Vogue Portugal).

I think at the rate of the new replacements for EIC thus far I think its best we not root for getting rid of Alt. I think for better and for worse she should stay as long as possible, I dont want to take any chances.

And on that note, this cover is just a total failure. What happened?

I somewhat like the actual image. Quinn is gorgeous. But as others have pointed out the graphic design brings it down.

Terrible cover. Like one of the worst for March so far and the graphic design is just...no. However I've never seen why people salivate over Emmanuelle's work when her vision has always been frumpy and dated beyond belief. Yes, VP at least has fashion editorials, but even when the photography is good, her team still makes everything looks like a B-list 90s publication in the styling department.

It's definitely her time to go. I would be up for Suzanne Koller to revamp this mag, although it may be a little pretentious. Or of course the two dons FB and KT, but I'm not sure they're so invested in print these days.

I hope Anastasia will at least have an ed in this issue after her disappointing work in the most recent try-hard issue of WSJ.

Even beyond the horrendous graphic design. That is one of the most uninspired looks to ever get featured on a fashion magazine cover. It’s as equally insipid as the black turtleneck Angelina Jolie wore on the cover of British Vogue this month but not as equally called out here, as far as I can see.~
