W February 2016 : The Movie Issue by Peter Lindbergh

I like seeing Eddie, even though he does seem to only have one facial expression when it comes to his photographic work, but still, nice to see him here.

I agree his expression never changes, this photos does not say anything to me.

It will be a 6 cover issue I should imagine.

Eddie Redmayne
Brie Larson
Rooney Mara
Carey Mulligan
Saorise Ronan
Alicia Vikander

all mentioned on the cover....the '+25 More' scares me a little....I wouldn't out it past W to do a 31 cover issue.

I'm assuming Lindbergh shot these covers, and not Walker or Teller! Nice, looking forward to something cinematic. I'll be torn between Rooney and Saiorse. They wouldn't give Alicia a cover again so soon, would they??

No comments on this cover, doesn't speak to me at all. I'll never get his hype. Odd Leonardo Di Caprio didn't made the cover. Not mad about him, but his movie is pretty relevant.

The usual suspects. I feel like its always the same people every year on these covers. Happy to see Brie & Alicia though!

^ So true, but to me this is the best cover with Edie (how can they claim this was his "breakthrough" year is beyond me, what a joke!) that i seen, so far!

Leo is so desperate for an Oscar and his quest to receive one so calculated, I think he probably turns down fashion-y, light fare like W and sticks with Vanity Fair and serious men's mags.

Happy for Eddie but gosh, that is one boring cover! at least Lindbergh tried a little harder with Rooney´s...
I´m looking forward to Saoirse and Alicia´s :)

*edit* Saoirse´s is quite lovely, Alicia looks like she´s on something... Carey looks like a grandma, Brie like a street worker... overall, all the covers are crappy imo.

Edie and Mara (especially) covers are the best to me, the rest is so incredibly bland! Alicia is actually shocking in that cover shot, she has zero presence, energy or emotion in print, i just don't get her. Weird, because I think she is wonderful on the big screen!

Brie and Rooney's covers are my favourite. Alicia's might be the worst. I'm confused as to why carey is there, i like her but it's not like Suffragette was an international success

Eddie, Rooney and Saorise's are my favorites.

They really did Alicia wrong there, she looks awful!

These are some of the most unflattering celebrity portraits I've ever seen. The lighting is SO harsh. I don't think Carey Mulligan has ever looked this awful before. And why did they style Saoirse Ronan like a 50-something wife of a Republican senator? She looks a good 20 years older than she is in real life. Rooney Mara is quite mannish here and I don't know if I like it or abhor it. And Alicia Vikander looks SO bored and over it. It's like they shot her cover the second she woke up or right after she took an entire bottle of Ambien. I don't love a single one of these covers, but if I had to choose a favorite I'd pick Brie Larson's, mainly because she's giving me "morning shift Vegas hooker coming off an all night bender" glamour.
