How else should she or any other celebrity be photographed for their accompanying article in a fashion magazine?

Look at how US Vogue used Cate Blanchett - that was brilliant. They took her theatre work and used that as the theme for the editorial. It expressed something personal about her.

Does Jennifer Garner like to pose in a studio in her spare time? Ok obviously not. So how about the outfits. Well, I doubt she dresses like that regularly. And the poses are generic...so what's the point of her being there? Just a famous face to recognise?

Exactly. The dress made for a lovely layout and I like the new typography. The Beyond Blue editorial looks very Avedonian.

I think Jen looks great, I just think the styling is awful...that Dior dress does not make for a good cover look.

The styling is definitely one of my biggest problems with this. That dress just looks ill-fitting and the colour is quite garish. Jennifer's a good-looking woman, obviously, but she always seems to be one of those actresses more attached to a "normal," life out of the limelight. So why can't they photograph her with a bit of her quiet personality thrown in, rather than trying to make her look oh so glamorous in her fluorescent ballgown. She looks so uncomfortable!

That ed is a bit run of the mill, but the first pic would have made a better cover - so much less cheap looking. Aside from the dress this looks like a Cosmo cover

The cover is totally uninteresting, but I don't really care about it. Can't wait for the Run of Show editorial, the cast sounds so amazing!

For some reason I got a slight Prada S/S 09 campaign vibe. Love the ed, the cast is really wonderful, can't wait for the HQ's! Thanks for the snaps, GivenchyHomme

It reminds me of an old 90's ed by Meisel, but I really like it. I love groupshots like this.

Now that's a spring editorial; it's like all the models and clothes we should have been seeing in January issues elsewhere have all been crammed into this one production!

I love that editorial, it's so fresh and very 90s as mikel said. All the girls look stunning and the looks work so well. I love this new layout too. Taking back the negativity RN

Good point actually. I love how I'm turning around all my negativity towards this issue right now...I'm quite excited to see the new direction the magazine is going in as it has been in need of a change for at least 18 months IMO

"Run of Show" looks great! And yes, it definitely has a 90s US Vogue/Meisel feel in it. I think they did a great job of presenting the S/S 2010 collections through that amazing ed. Thanks for the snaps GivenchyHomme!
