W Magazine August 2014 : Mila Kunis by Michael Thompson

Great to see Thompson back working with W again but this cover shot with Mila is very weird in the same way that his GQ cover with Emily was very over-processed...definitely a blemish on his run of flawless covers for the mag (even the Janet one had a kind of brash robo-p*rn comedic appeal to it).

Just hope he has a fashion ed in either this or the September issue...the sneakers story must be, shock horror, an MAS work.

I've never seen a good photo of Mila. :(

The cover titles are also not really written how 'W' would usually form them....

"Sneakers with everything"........doesnt sound like something that would appear on a 'W' cover....

Yeah the written text is so fake, like "Mila Kunis on her new film, new look, and new life with Ashton." That's not W, that's TeenVogue. Not to mention the Paint font...

Plus it seems too early

Well, W just posted this cover on their Instagram, so it's the real deal. Pathetic.

Still looks fake  Please let the text and font be a one-time mistake... And having Mila Kunis shot as a sixties girl is not fresh...

Color images of the ed look very nice (Mila looks beautiful, dresses look gorgeous and that approach to backlight in fashion photography is not often to see), but B&W images and a cover are a different story.

This just seems lazy to me. The 60's thing has been done to death. Stylists really need to let it go.

I think Mila Kunis is one of those unfortunate celebrities, where no matter what you do with her she will never look as great as a model on a magazine cover.

I like the photos inside, just wish it was someone more exciting

^Well it's pretty obvious that not Jason Wu but the Ironman/Transformer-hybrid is the boss in that ed.

^^Yeah, it's a weird ed. Jason doesn't like much of a boss to me in those shots.
