There are some very fabulous covers. The gimmicky ones (Karlie, Binx) are terrible…
Why are the models from the early to late 00’s always missing from this type of reunion.
Give me a Natasha Poly, a Sasha Pivarova, a Liya Kebede or a Carmen Kass, i don’t know…Somebody.

I'm tired with those multi-cover issues, especially when 80% of those covers are bad. (only Shalom / Iman / Cindy & Christy are quite interesting)

There are. Christy, Shalom, and Amber each have several photos and the Pavarotti ed from which the cover images were pulled is quite long, each model has a few more shots.

Karlie Kloss by Nigel Shafran

Retching at the sight of this. Why would they submit poor Karlie to the awful vision of the single worst photographer to ever dabble in fashion? Such a pity.
Can't believe Mert & Marcus shot Naomi, the cover looks terrible. I hate it when they try to be artsy, it doesn't suit them.
The rest I can live with; Iman, Cindy, and the Supers being the obvious winners. Sounds like a really promising issue! The best they've had in a while. I love to see a proper revival of this magazine, especially now that so many others are in shambles.

The SUPERS (except Naomi unfortunately) are turning it out! Anok, Adut, He Cong, Precious and Bella, IMO, are also fantastic, glad they are keeping up with the legends.

These are very good Anniversary covers.
I would have preferred a group shot with all the greats, then and now, but I'll take these.

It's been so long since the last model posing on the cover. Shalom's looks like an 1997 issue. Insane and maybe the best September issue of any magazine this year. Glad to read Michael Thompson name in a new thread. Wish W don't return to the celebs after this, ha. Models always makes a better job. Even Jenner looks great.

I tried to purchase the magazine, but according to the newsstand.co.uk the issue will be available on September 30th! W's social medias and official site also don't have a single word about this particular issue, so how come that UK shops (if I properly understood our @KINGofVERSAILLES, who is a *true* KING when it comes to this thread! ) and Ebay resellers already have it?!!

I believe he's American, as were all the eBay listings I saw last night. Still, it's odd that the magazine is out in the shops before W Mag did any promotion whatsoever.

What a total return to form for W Magazine, and what a way to celebrate 50 years! Covers over recent years have been very hit and miss but this is truly spectacular, I'm very pleasantly surprised. Major MAJOR kudos to Sarah Mooves!

I'm in a state of awe to see Michael Thompson back photographing covers, with my immediate two faves being that of Amber Valletta and Shalom Harlow. Cindy Crawford's cover is also stunning, as well as Iman's and Naomi Campbell's. There's just so much to digest here that I literally cannot wait for the full issue to drop.

I must say how exciting this all is - seeing the magazine through snaps and hearing impressions from subscribers instead of having immediate access to everything through digital scans and images from websites and social media. It builds anticipation and the mystery's quite refreshing. Wish we experienced this more often!

Category is....quality-driven quantity! This is one of those rare instances where I'd fully support multi-covers. My favorite covers are Anok's, Bella's, Shalom's, Iman's, Alek's, Cindy's, and Sora's. This is also how you do nostalgia!
