oh Ida I hope its exactly the outcome you want, good for you! take care of yourself, as I know you will!

My best friend is going in for the abdominoplasty and liposuction July 29th!

Have a great recovery ida :flower: see you on TFS soon!

When i was younger i got offered an septoplasty on the NHS, i had horrendous breathing problems but i was to scared to have it done, but now i'm def up for it however i'll have to see if the NHS will still do it for me or go private.

I'm pretty bruised atm, but much less than I anticipated... And I can't wear contacts yet, so I can't really see anything  I spent the night at the hospital, which was pretty awful. The tampon-thingy they put in my nose was really uncomfortable, but I had no pain and I haven't taken any pain killers at all. It tickled so much when my surgeon pulled out the tampon-thingy  I do sneeze a lot, but I always sneeze a lot.

About the nose, well, the cast comes off next week. The tip looks pretty high, which frightens me, but I know it will settle down as the swelling goes down. I really don't want that Scandinavian nose with a pointy tip  Othwise I'm feeling great, and BF thinks I look like the cutest little koala bear with the cast on

Glad your doing well! Im surprised you spent the night there, they sent me home a half hour after I woke up. I didn't get the packing but I've heard it's the worst part.

Definitley don't worry about your nose until at least a month later. My nose was so upturned, pinched in and crooked the first two weeks I was a little panicked. Then the splint shape came out, my nose swelled up but had a good profile. Now most of the swelling is gone except the very tip and it looks upturned again. So patience will really help you stay sane!

GG you're such a great help! I have been so worried about the tip of my nose (and ending up looking like my mum!)...but I can feel the swelling go down a little bit every day, I should look like a human being again very soon

They only kept me for pulling out the tampon-thingy the day after the surgery. I'd rather have gone home, but it's just precautionary measures, I guess.

It will come down don't worry. Have a safe recovery, be careful and not do anything too crazy out of impatience or curiosity.

i agree with pasha: don't touch it out of any reason!!!

i know that the patience part is the most annoying one; but guessgirl is right; the shape will constantly change.

i am sure your nose will be beautiful and will fit perfect in your face. :flower:
the tip always looks so hight right after the surgery.

i hope it isn't too hot where you live since... i did my nose in summer aswell and it wasn't the brightest idea, but i had no choice

If its not too personal, The Ida, what did you dislike about your "old" nose? On the pictures you posted in different threads it looked fine to me...?

Maybe there was a deviated septum, and she(or he??) may also wanted to alter the shape... I think taht is the most common reason why people get rhinoplasty.

im too scared of hospitals and all so not for me... Although i do understand when its something that it feels so traumatic for someone no matter it doesn't seem for other people, i understand they try to feel better in their own skin and even if its not for such a big deal i do respect peoples choices... but they should get sure to get a proper professional aka good surgeon with a good career and get well informed about the possible side effects or complications... sometimes there's such a horrible stories about people who got a bad job done or that simply his body got rejected... so, careful

Guessgirl96 gave great advice...staying patient is so important because youre still so swollen..anyway good to hear youre out of the hospital..the most nerve wracking thing for me was being under a general anaesthetic!

I wasn't too happy with my profile, and the tip of my nose was actually asymmetric. It isn't too radical a change, but I wasn't happy with it. I'm just glad I finally did it

^Ok! I'm happy for you
I tend to ask a lot of questions to people who have a rhino because I'm considering one myself, not too radical either. Let us know how it turns out!

I was at my doctor today, and I saw my new nose... Holy moly! It's fantastic! The profile is just beautiful. Even the girls in the waiting room stopped me to look at it  She bandaged my nose again, and I can take it off on Tuesday. The tip looks...well, uhm, special :ninja: but I know it will soon look more normal as the swelling goes down. Why didn't I do this before?
