What can I wear it with? (December 2003 - March 2010)

^^ I really like those shoes. I wanted them, but then resisted and decided not to get them, but depending on how much they are I may still get them..

I was going to wear them with skinny jeans. That would work, wouldn't it?

I was also thinking maybe something like what gemma is wearing?

pic from the gemma thread, from a vogue editorial I think.

How about scarlet?
Love this idea w/ the Mouret dress :woot:

Would also think scarlet's a nice contrast to the blue bag posted!

Pinky* - I'd also think it would work with a just below the knee or 3/4 legging. You could work it as an everyday shoe with wide leg or boot leg trousers, but I don't think that's the intention of this shoe ;)

for tonite
i wanna wear my black bubble skirt
i narrowed down the options

so should i wear it with a black white skinny stripy sweater w/ black opaques and white pumps

or should i wear it with a burgundy short sleeve frilly sheer blouse with a owl brooch and flat black leather boots

could you help me out

Hmm... Kitty-Yo, I like the sound of both. What's the occasion? Maybe that would help break the tie :flower:

hi all, question:

I just recently purchased a dark navy suit (with very thin light blue pinstripes about the width of a single thread), and i was wondering what color pumps would be appropriate. This suit is for interviewing (in new york city), and do you think black pumps are out of the question? I was thinking for a dark navy suit, matching DARK navy pumps would look good (a very simple, elegant pair of pumps, almost black in color). what are your suggestions?

I personally never wear navy with black. I don't match my shoes to my outfit exactly... those are just peeves of mine.. What kind of shirt are yougoing to wear under the jacket? whatever color shirt you decide to wear with... or whatever accessories you choose could help you decide a shoe color

Pinky, well I think that you can use just about everything. I would prefer to wear them with a pair of skinny jeans (kinda tucked into), a full knee length skirt, or a pair of shorts :woot:
They are gorgeous!

thx gg, curious & tinetush :flower:

all really great suggestions! i think skinny jeans, shorts, full skirts, etc would be great for everyday for this shoe..

i'd probably wear a white or light blue button down. i'm unfortunately aiming for a very conservative look...so i can't really match my shoes to my shirt color...

Nuyste - I think navy & blk together are fine. In fact, it's one of my favorite combinations at the moment :flower: A navy pump would of course work too and should be pretty easy to find with navy coming in so strong for spring ;)

I'm actually wearing a very similar suit today, with light brown shoes, same likethose, but with a higher brown heel:

beige brown animal pring silk shirt and a brown/ gold chain leather belt.
brown bag and a beige coat.

If I want to be more safe - I'd wear it with a off white shirt and black patent leather shoes and bag, but the coat would be either dark blue or off white.

I bought a similar YSL skirt, same color, but with big loops for a belt with a satin button on each loop :

it is made from very fine light wool.

and some kidskin Prada boots in rusty brown similar to those in terms of color and shape:
http://www.raffaello-network.com/raffties/detail.php?itemid=36429&rangeid=29:
but they have stitches like those, which gives them more relax look:

what kind of top I can wear with both - in terms of color and style and what kind of stocking as there is part of my leg that is showing.
I tried them on with a beige/brown fine tweed very tailored jacket similar cut like this:
http://www.bergdorfgoodman.com/store/catalog/prod.jhtml?cmCat=search&itemId=prod8170049

but made me feel like a soldier, cardigan looks boring, and a shirt - it's ok but it is still cold here.

Stilettogirl I'll be very interested in your suggestion, I like /share/ you sense of style and color.

First of all- Karma to you for liking my taste

second-

I love the boots, and the skirt-

but not at the same time- did you mean to wear them together?

it seems like the skirt needs darker acessories,
like black or dark brown

and the boots would be better paired with something lighter/ more casual

like light denim or perhaps khaki

for some reason, to me that light caremel type brown suggest summer and spring, and wouldn't feel right with tights.

I think that interesting greige/ dark graybrown of the skirt would look reall good with any shade of dark red, or rust, or burgundy

Actually I bought them to wear them together but something was off.
As usually I love your suggestions! I wouldn't have thought to wear that brown skirt with black boots, but I like it!
For the casual look - I have a Gucci pencil heavy cotton white off - grayish skirt that can work well.
Thank you, :flower: Stilettogirl !!!!!!!!

i bought these shoes in the sales recently. not very sensible purchases but i get a kind of sales-fever sometimes and end up buying whimisical stuff that i love but is hard to work. sometimes these kind of purchases can push the good taste\bad taste boundaries too but that, like anything is a matter of opinion.

any suggestions for outfits?

I was thinking of a grey pencil/fit and flare skirt with the leopard Furla shoes, black tights and a black top.

No ideas for the Kurt Geiger emerald green embellished ones . . . .

what boots should i wear with a green wool plaid pleated skirt with tights... black pointy slouchy boots or brown cowboy boots?

i'm guessing not the cowboy boots but i have them and i feel bad because i never wear them?! and i don't have any flat boots because i've yet to find a good pair where i am.

any good suggestions for my cowboy boots that i have had for so long? i know, i know they are very "trendy".. but i feel like i should wear them at some point

martinion - I would go for the black slouchy boots myself. The cowboy boots may be a bit much with the plaid. Do you have any tan boots? Green plaid and tan might be nice.

It sounds like the skirt may also be cute with shoes . . . .

I have the same problem with some cowboy boots that i own. They are mint vintage 70's I think), dark cherry red with cool embroiderery and a slightly rounded toe. I have had them for years and really like them but can't make them work with anything apart from cuffed or tucked-in jeans.

I regularly archive them for a while then pull them out again, because they come in and out of style.
