What would you wear with these baggy Chloé trousers?

I am not really happy with the rather relaxed combination on the photo. A tight polo neck sweater would be nice, but maybe a bit boring and maybe not warm enough. Please give me some good ideas!

^ I think you are right with your instict not to go with a loose top. I will leave it to the experts here to recommend something really amazing. I think it will probably be a fitted top (that shows a bit of skin? I know that doesn't sound very warm) with heels and a feminine bag to balance the pants but I am not very good at this.

The real reason I am posting is just to compliment people on their amazing ideas showcased in this thread, this is one of my favorite threads because, sometimes I just read the ideas and think WOW, you people REALLY know your stuff!! You know, stuff I never would have thought of but as soon as you say it, it's so obvious that it would look great! Kudos, you folks are super talented!

I am totally not one of the "experts here but I will try to give my input anyway.

I would wear a tight dark turtleneck sweater in a warm but thin knit. And substantial heels. I think the turtleneck and the heels would lengthen you and that is what you need if you don't want to look too short and squat in those pants.

Well, I guess I will just have to save the trousers for warmer weather - they definitely doesn't look good with a sweater and it is a pity to cover the nice bow with a thick knit. Your nordstrom top looks nice!

Stylephok: Black pumps. Torquise is way to much colour and w/ white, you'll end up looking like a bride. It's hard to find a shoe when i don't have a picture of the dress, but i can imagine these looking good with it:

I think the YSL booties give a very "rock n roll" vibe so those would not do. I think pointy toes in genereal look more tough, so perhaps if you want to soften the look you might try something rounded?

Chanel bags I think lighter colors look more gentle so you might try the white one
