What to wear with shoes like these? Given they work for costumes and bedwear, but what about something wearble everyday? Mine is kind of like the shoes I posted, kind of looks like those famous Viv shoes in a way. I wore them to dinner once with trousers, lace top and a blazer and that worked fine but yeah figured I should figure out another workable outfit with these other than that blazer combo or my french maid costume

Kate, I like the color against your skin. Id add a belt across your waist in maybe white. If you do add the belt Id make a little...what are the called? Its basically to make it poofier, my sister had one made when she wore a poodle skirt for halloween one year, they made it out of a very stiff sheer fabric she wore it under her skirt for more volume. I think that would really underline the 40's look you're going for.

Midori, I love that! Id wear it with almost anything. Wear it open over maybe a dusty green cami, with a full skirt, and peeptoes. Or with a denim mini and lace cami and RED pumps.

Mazzystar, I like that skirt, the shape. What about a tshirt and flats for daywear? For evening Id still do a tshirt, just in black and a very nice material like cashmere or satin, with a string of pearls and perhaps PURPLE suede pumps.

Sephora, a cocktail length dress perhaps? I think they could go with a lot, leggings and a oversized tshirt w/ a fitted blazer....

Sephora- those are cool I don't know if I could pull them off ... Ever - but if you think you could- I like Diorlings Idea of a cocktail dress. I'd also suggest a black pencil skirt and a buttondown- for a very subversive sexy secretary look. also with skinny black pants, or skinny cropped black pants would be a nice silhouette.

whatever you wear, i'd suggest nothing revealing at all, because the shoes are Sexy Enough as is, and don't need any help

definitely wear a great necklace to go with.. the glitzy kind, that will totally glam up your look!
u should wear ur hair up too , and if ure going with a dramatic necklace, simple earrings that will make ur face sparkle will do and u'l look hot

i bought this one-shouldered disco dress from ebay and its lovely. but i can't get any of my shoes to work. i tried a black peeptoe platform with ankle strap - too heavy. also i have some 70's black patent disco sandals but they have gold bits woven into the design and don't look right.

any ideas, o stylish ones?

while i am at it, i bought these italian leather royal blue wedges with bow and sparkly wedge from a charity shop. i like them - but to wear with what????

I'm thinking of buying this satin top from ebay - I especially like the plaited cross-over straps on the back - but it's quite revealing and I'm at a loss as to what I can wear with it, other than the usual boring black top underneath help!

I would wear it as is with a black or other color skirt. If you wanted to wear a top under it you could wear purple or some other color rather than black

Picture that skirt in your head, but without the bubble hem. Picture it cut off about half-way. That's the kind of skirt I have.
Kaye, I'm going to see Coldplay this Thursday and I want to wear that skirt with something? It's about 5cm above the knee. Note that I really want colours... I was thinking of teaming it with one-colour, patterned tights or something - it's winter down here so I'd have to wear warm tops, etc. I'm 15, and have skin colour similar to Beyonce's .

I think you could try with a t-shirt underneath, perhaps in soft green, or you could try pairing it with an open waistcoat or a light cropped jacket, to give it some shape or I would wear bright coloured hosiery with it, like cobolt blue maybe

Just wear it like a t-shirt, pair it with a pair of jeans, and a necklace, or just like someone said before, a thin but matching belt to creat a drop waist shirt. Hope that helped some.
