W/ everything. They'd look fantastic w/ a white tee and black blazer in the summer.

Spookygirl, i actually don't agree with diorling on this.
Even though black-white combos would look fantastic on the catwalk or in a shoot,
the contrasts tend to be too sharp irl.

I wear my white skinnies alot, and especially love them with my oversized, plaid shirts in red's and blue's.
You can really wear white with anything, but if i were you i would stay away from creme / off-white,
and too much black.
My personal favs is stronger colours, like royalblue, purple, green etc.

I'll make an outfit with white jeans, although I'd never wear jeans with blazer, just because I wear blazers and jackets at work every day - I still think it looks good on other people

Thank you all for your ideas! ^_^
Aris I really liked your suggestions! :flower: Although I'm not sure if it would work for me, since my style is not very 'preppy'.

I found this look at Religion, I kinda liked it... I would wear a pair of converse trainers instead of the shoes.

I want to buy a nice pinstripe skirt that I saw in Benetton, it's a little bit above knees and is cut on the side. I don't want to look too serious, I want to make it look a bit more elegant, but I have no idea what to wear on top. Any ideas for top and shoes?

I recently bought a pair of black knee-length motorcycle boots similar to the one above for no good reason other than the fact that I've wanted a pair of black boots since combat boots became all the rage in the early 90s and my mother refused to buy me a pair. Unfortunately, the boots don't really fit in with the rest of my wardrobe, so I'm scrambling to find things to wear with them. I was thinking I could pair them with bootcut Levi's and a leather jacket for a kickass-y look, or with a full, long skirt and tight top. Because I want to wear them at work, the outfit can't show any leg for safety reasons. (That and covered arms are pretty much the only dress restrictions, so anything else goes.)

Would either of these outfits work? Would a knee-length skirt be better? I was hoping you guys would have some suggestions because I really don't want to return them. If it helps at all, I'm 5'0" (or I will be with the boots on :p) and somewhere between an hourglass and a pear.

I'd wear them with any kind of knee length skirt- espescially a more girly one to toughen it up- they should be very versatile

Here's how I'd wear them

Thanks again for your help, stilletogirl! Do you happen to remember which of those sites the coat came from? I just moved someplace cold, and I've been looking for something exactly like it to complete my wardrobe. I've looked in stores, but I have had no luck whatsoever. I know it's the middle of spring, but I feel like the winter clothes were gone before I even knew they were there.

Also, do you think the boots would go well with capris? I have a pair that falls anywhere from just below the knee to mid-calf that, again, I can't wear at work at the moment. I ask because I've always thought of capris as light and summery, and those boots look heavy and... not summery. (*sigh* so eloquent I am today...)

That coat is from JCrew- but unfortunately It is from last season and is no longer in stock. If you can wait, i'm sure the'll introduce something similar this upcomning winter, but it's a long time to go coat-less

I don't think I'd pair the boots with capris personally

I've had this shirt for quite some time and I'd love some ideas on what to wear it with please. The black beads fall over the shoulder like a cap sleeves. Thanks in advance

^^ :woot: Sorry I'm no help, but that top is gorgeous.

Anyway, I've had these for a some years now, and have only worn them a couple times. I don't have anything to wear with them now, so I need ideas. I would like to keep the rest of the outfit fairly simple.

whee, it's my 100th post!

For a not-super-formal business presentation, would:

Brown suit jacket, gray slacks, brown suede shoes

be acceptable?

Basically, wondering if it is ok to wear a suit jacket and slacks in 2 different colors.
