What designer dominates your wardrobe?

I recently did a wardrobe survey and these are the designers I own at least three pieces from. I tend not to buy too many things from the same brands so I got 1-2 pieces from a lot of people. I was surprised at having only 1-2 from CdG, YSL and Junya. I used to have more Helmut Lang, I got a suit and a pair of pants left. My dress shoe wardrobe is particularly diverse as the most I got from one maker is two (Corthay, some custom maker).

Adidas (like their trainers)
Ann Demeulemeester
APC
Carol Christian Poell
Cloak
Dolce&Gabbana (hahaha)
Engineered Garment
Lad Musician
Lanvin
Martin Margiela
Rick Owens
Sutor Mantellassi (this was surprising)
Thom Browne
Uniqlo (all those white tees)

The wardrobe survey is a great idea, Fuuma. I also found that there were surprisingly few designers that I had three or more items from.

Takahiro Miya****a (number (n)ine) (sorry about the censor, haha)
Rick Owens
Luca Laurini
Guidi (does Guidi really count as a designer?)
Raf Simons (all RAF, still this surprises me)
Dov Charney :brows:

Due to having sold an Ann shirt and failing to buy one at Barneys Warehouse Sale yesterday, it appears I only own two Ann pieces now (four if you count each boot separately). This saddens me.

rick owens above all... I have about 12 RO pieces (not counting all the ones I've sold). :ninja: such comfy stuff... so good for every day wear.

but I also have a handful (or two  ) of pieces by the following:
yohji yamamoto
jun takahashi
gareth pugh
rei kuwakabo
anne-valerie hash
margiela
err... this post is making me rethink my life so let's stop here!

ETA - tang, your post prompted me to go check my ann d. stash and it turns out I also only have 3 pieces currently  time for us to re-up!!!

I own only two designer items and those are from Gareth Pugh and Dries van Noten, so I would say they dominate my wardrobe.
I don't have money for more.

IMHO a women's wardrobe could be almost entirely composed of pieces from one of those designers and still look amazing. Well works for Yohji, MMM and Anne-Valérie Hash.

I counted Adidas and Uniqlo, just pieces I have a couple of, no value judgment added. I didn't check socks, ties or other small items. I think I have like 3 Versace ties although I wear ties once a year or so. You have three pairs of Guidi boots? I like the boot-sandals, was skeptical at first but they work.

nice rundown...I just miss some s.kokosolaki and it would be the perfect wardrobe :P

a year ago I decided to edit heavily my wardrobe, nowadays is only yohji, muji tees and english shoes + the unavoidable gym clothing.
I have a handful of pieces from other designers but no more than one each.
Since then, I can only choose beautiful clothes to wear and I try to do everything wearing them.
My idea of jeans and tee it's oversized gabardine pants with suspenders and a white shirt with rolled up sleeves. You get the idea hehe

I'm planning to buy more rick owens footwear (I love it) and damir doma when yohji retires...

Yes, I agree with this sentiment!

I can put Ann back on my list, I found another shirt at the Warehouse Sale.

I rarely get more than 2 pieces from the same designer/brand, even with cheaper brands- the only designers that I have 3 pieces from are;

Ilaria Nistri
Complexgeometries

I have 50+ pairs of shoes and all are different designers (only just realised that  )

I only have brand loyalty when it comes to skincare (Biotherm) and make-up (Chanel).

Right now, Roberto Cavalli. I have many pieces from jackets, blouses, skirts, trousers to shoes.
John Richmond (2 pieces, which i have never worn)
Iceberg (jeans and a beautiful wool jacket, that i love).
Gucci (trousers and tops)
and several other designers thrown in between.

I don't really have the money to have a designer dominate my wardrobe but if I could, I'd want anything from Alexander McQueen, Heatherette, Dior, D&G and Valentino.

A girl can drea. XD

That wasn't so hard :P

Those with 3 items or more:

Bottega Veneta
Marc Jacobs
Burberry
Vera Wang
Valentino

A dozen other designers with 2 items or less ...

metalicus (good for everyday wear, basic layering etc)
marc jacobs (because everyone loves mj!)
lacoste (im a preppy little girl, really)
sass & bide
topshop
scanlan & theodore

Ann Demeulemeester

I've been buying designer stuff for nearly 15 years, but my besides, basic t-shirts, underwear and socks my closet is about 90-95% Ann Demeulemeester. Other than that I have some pieces from Dries van Noten, Martin Margiela, Veronique Branquinho, Dirk Schönberger, Xavier Delcour, Dior Homme (Hedi Slimane stuff), Yohji Yamamoto, and Comme des Garçons.

See by Chloe! SO wearable! and after that,Stella McCartney.
