What Vitamins do you take ?

^ I think everyone raves about cod liver oil because it has very high amounts of vitamin D. Not sure what the difference is between salmon and krill oil though.

Went back on a multivitamin after taking it out of my diet. So now I'm taking B12, iron, vitamin C and a multivitamin.

back in Australia 2 weeks and immediately bought more of my fav multi vitamin

Tried so many in the USA and couldn't find one with the right combination (or high enough levels of vitamin B!)

In almost 2 weeks I can already see my nails growing faster/stronger and shinier hair

I asked the clerk at the vitamin shoppe what the difference was, and she just said that apparently we're able to digest krill oil better than cod liver or salmon, and therefore reap more of the benefits.

Once I'm done my salmon oil I think i'll try cod liver, just to see the difference. I do want to try krill eventually, but it's just so expensive, mainly because it's the 'trendy oil of the moment' I feel.

I take:

High EPA DHA Fish Oil Concentrate(for stress)
Maca 6:1 Concentrate (for stress and mood)
Magnesium Citrate (for stress)
Resveratrol (antioxidant and for stress)
Ashwaganda (stress and preventative)
Curcumin - Lab Grade (preventative)
Idebenone (superior to coQ10 and for boost)
Cyclastrogenol (hottest antiaging supplement on market)
Spirulina (for nutrients)
Ascorbyl Palmitate (vit C for the skin)
Ester C (vit C for health)
Serrapeptaise (blocks inflammation)

I run around in fashionable clothing in the winter, have terrible lack of sleep stress and travel across the world multiple times a year... and yet I havent been getting sick, am able to sleep when I can get a chance, and ppl tell me I seem to never age (loving that!) ... so well see how that goes!

Ah I didn't know that. Thanks :flower:. I wonder why its easier for us to digest.

Cod liver oil is something I still want to try but for some reason I can't seem to find it in liquid form and I do not want to buy it online.

^ Well according to jamiesonvitamins.com;

“In contrast to fish oil that only dissolves in other oil environments, krill oil is readily dispersed in both oil and water allowing for quick and easy digestion. This is why krill oil delivers no fishy reflux and why the body can better put these powerful nutrients to work. So one or two small softgels delivers the nutritional value of several large fish oil supplements.”

I know for me the claim of no fishy reflux is enough to make me want to buy it, it's quite bad with the salmon oil.

are there any vitamins for healthy skin?

Omega 3's such as fish oils. I've noticed an immense difference in the texture, tone and feel of my skin after I started taking wild salmon oil a month ago.

Vitamins E, C and a B complex help skin, and drinking enough fresh water is also essential.

In this period I'm taking:

Hairfinity
Omega 3 (lanoil, not fish)
Collagen tabs.
Vitamin D + Calcium

Went back on a multivitamin after taking it out of my diet. So now I'm taking B12, iron, vitamin C and a multivitamin.

I swapped out the iron for fish oil. I started getting cystic breakouts on my chin again and within a day of going back on fish oil my skin settled down.

I take:
Maca 6:1 Concentrate (for stress and mood)

I'm thinking about taking maca but I'm worry about side-effects.

does enyone else takes maca? witch brand? how much and for how long?

p.s. happy new year to all of you!

I bought some maca root powder a couple weeks ago. I started adding 1 tsp to my spinach smoothie in the morning (the package had said to add 1 - 2 tsps) and while I didn't mind the taste (almost like butterscotch) I experienced chest pains and an increased heart rate like, not even twenty minutes after drinking my smoothie. It almost felt like I was having a heart attack. I thought that I might just not be used to it, so I tried it for a few more days until one morning I had a full blown panic attack. I have quite bad anxiety and occasionally suffer from panic attacks, I've cut out caffeine, excess sugar / starch to combat my anxiety and I just found that taking maca completely aggravated my symptoms.

I had talked to the clerk at the health food store and she said that for people with anxiety / high levels of stress / heart problems maca is probably not the best thing to be taking.

I assume not everyone has the same side effects from it, it's unfortunate I do (especially because the powder was so expensive...) But I'd just caution you if you're sensitive to stimulants

thank you very much for your reply, I just saw it ... I started to take maca yesterday, 500 mg of maca root in capsule, twice a day. I haven't noticed any change, I guess it's too early or dosage is too law. I do have periods of depression and anxiety but I hope maca won't make it worse.

The pills could be different from the powder, and like I said, most people have no issues with maca root. Let me know how it goes!

I'm currently taking:

A vegetarian multi vitamin
B Complex
Vitamin D
Krill Oil

I want to start taking a multivitamin everyday again. Are plain old One A Days okay or should I go to a vitamin store and get something super natural? Is there any difference? I'm a complete newbie when it comes to this!

due to the heat in Australia I have started taking Electrolytes with my mulitvitamin after my morning run.

Just discovered "nuun" as an alternative to berocca - so much less sugar, it doesn't taste like you are having a soft drink. I am very impressed
