What is California Casual?

I need help . I am going to a vip birthday party at a film studio. The party is from 8-12 and the dress is california cassual. I have no idea what that means. Anyone out there know?

dont come off dressy at all. great jeans, tees or tanks, cute jackets, be funky wear sassy dress shoes.

Marcella, I agree. California Casual...that sounds like a bootleg clothing store or something. I live in Los Angeles, CA...and to me there is no such thing as california casual. California Casual sounds so cliche and touristy to me!

California Casual.. I totally think jean skirt, flip flops, and a polo or halter top. I'd say it'd be the epitome of casual... like Laguna Beach style.
