When I go to prom I don't want a typical floor length gown with updo hairstyle like most girls in my town. I really would love a knee length/tea length dress with my hair down..more like 1/2 up 1/2 down..curled/wavy. I have pretty pale skin so I picture myself in a melon/peachy embroidered type strapless probably, knee lenght, silver heels, a necklace.

hi everyone. i am needing a bit of help to try and describe this absolutely divine dress i have chosen for my school formal. im not quite sure how to explain to the dress maker what it looks like so i thought i would ask around!
it has a kind-of v neckline, thought it also looks like a sweetheart neckline.. u choose! and it has a pattern on it which seems to be crocheted but i may be wrong. all comments would be much appreciated!

you could tell them it has an empire wais, with darts at the bust, A line to around the ankles

My prom is monday, And I haven't finished my dress yet. I'll probably make the last stitches sunday night, but as long as i get it finished...hehe
And I haven't bought any accessories or bag or anything.

So I finally finished in time.
I think Swedish prom, or ball as we call it is different from the american, ours is very formal with dinner and waltz at the "grand hotel", but with an afterparty at a club afterwards. well I had so much fun!
I made the last stitches two minutes before the guests arrived for the pre-party.
this is the result :

You can't really see the structure of the fabric in these pictures though, it's lace on a base with the same color.

I hate prom dresses and the whole idea of prom in general, so I want to turn up wearing white jeans, white t shirt, suspenders, and false eyelashes on one eye a-la Alex DeLarge. I'm pretty sure they won't let me in though.
