Hello everyone:flower:

I have what we call here in Australia my 'debutante ball' comming up .. Where the girls get all dressed up in sort of like mini wedding dresses .. And i need help with some designs .. ? I dont want my dress to be like everyone elses because i like to be induvidual and stand out hehe
Any one got any ideas ? Even if you just shared a dress you liked or something ..
I would appreciate it very much thankyouuuu !

Not to shure of my height..I`m not tall i think im like 163 cm ... I weigh like 50 kilos atm and my dress size is around an 8

Nothing over 1000 ... i thought i could get it made .. but i just dont know what to look for ! :)

Well if everyone is going for 'mini wedding' dresses, I think you would stand out and look great if you went in something tailored, and sexy

...or do you have to wear a 'mini wedding' dress?

Could you describe what "look" you're going for? What color?

Debutante dresses are usually white...its said to be a young persons 'initiation into adulthood'... To go in black would be very dramatic.

If you are going to have your dress made I would be expecting around 200-300 dollars to be honest...if you do go for this option it is good to take a picture of what you like with you. These are some ideas that I like...

Also, if you want to look different, I would wear a colour other than white. Something pale but not white...perhaps baby blue or a pale pink or yellow or grey even...it depends what you like. I personally don't like the whole idea of looking like a mini bride...I think you can still look appropriate and much nicer wearing something sophisticated and dressy that is not wedding-like. Veils are especially awful on young girls :( !

Congratulations! Some of my best friends were quirky debutantes. I commend you for wanting to do your own thing a bit. :D

I think something from the Comme des Garcons "Broken Bride" collection this fall would be excellent - in keeping with debutante tradition, yet decidedly different. I'm not sure how the pricing goes on these, or where you can find CdG in Oz, but here are a few I think would be smashing (minus the makeup and veils of course):

Also, this Martin Margiela dress I spotted on Yoox.com is very quirkyelegant (the design is printed onto the dress), and it's only $268 US:

Oh, and this Marni dress from Yoox.com is very cool, but it's a size 6 and $1068 US, so it might not work for you:
