What trend/style that is pase right now are you hoping is comming back real soon?

I'm really hoping clutch bags are comming back, not only for evening but also for daytime, like the girls wore on the first 2 seasons in Sex and the city. In this time where oversizerd sloughy bags are a must, a comeback for clutchbags is not very likely though.

Im not really sure if this is a trend but i realy liked the big poofy hair of the 50s ^^ they look so glamourous =D

Thick hip belts! :D As opposed to waist belts, which are nice too, but not as flattering

^hmm, I don't know, thick hip belts are not so flattering on me.

Well some people might not like it, but it seems that tartan might be coming back (although possibly very briefly) ...

Love this thread idea!

I personally don't have ideas off the top of my head, but I always think of That 70s Show and how much I love that time period in America where rock was rock and nothing more. People were heavily inspired by the music scene. I think that is the same for today on some level, but people back then worshiped the bands they loved and it showed inside and out.

I hope Doc Martens/boots like that, anyway- stay this time around (in my head, they never went away)....and round/almond-toe heels. Pointy-toed heels are painful!

Also, lots of people wear them, but I'd like full skirts to stick around too- an element of the 50s look mixed with the 90s one would be awesome.

tbh I don't want any of my favourite styles to become trendy
because that means that they will probably get butchered and I would get sick of them

Wow. To put it bluntly, you got it spot on, j'adore couture.

I would like to see petticoats come back. I have bloomers in mint green that go great under really short minis. People think it's my underwear, but it's just a pair of shorts with lots of frills. :D It's the most original piece of my wardrobe.

Not necessarily a trend but, healthy, shiny, volume looking hair

Because the messy bed head only looks good on a fraction of the people who are fortunate to do a quick brush and still looks good while doing so. I've tried it and it looks horrible on me, and it's kinda ridiculous people spending so much time trying to get there hair look like Erin Wasson or the like. The shampoo and blowdryer is your friend!

^^^I remember those days. I use to spend a good hour or so on getting the hair messy. It took so much work.

Teased up hair. Not spikey or permed so much like the 80's but like Marilyn and Ginger Grant (on Gilligan's Island TV Show). Texas style can be nice too!

I like it because some women cannot wear it and on those that can looks scrumptious.

:heart::heart: I have been trying to do the whole teased pony thing when you tease the crown of your hair and then pull the rest back into a normal pony tail

shoulder pad sweatshirts like norma kamali use to do to perfection.
geoffrey beene type boots with tartan flannel lining.

Saddle shoes! Today I was over come with an intense feeling that this is what's next. Think about all the other classic American styles that have made a comeback recently, it's only logical.

I've been telling for a while to my friends that the 90s should be back but even more outrageous... i don't want a soft formula of what was the grunge era... that would be awful... but every remade seems like that...a softer version of the real one... and 70s jeans want to come back... but skinnies still win the battle... i think ripped ones would be (As a 90s trend the big come back...if its not already).
Do we have a trend identity in our time? Everything seems a remake or a recycle of nostalgia times when things looked fresh!

^Yes...it does seem that way, doesn't it? Our world is so out of new ideas that we have to go back to old ones over and over again and pretend they're "new":(
