What trend is hopefully going to make a comeback?

instead of all the "messy"/"grungy" trends.. i wanna take it back to the elegant/classy trends... think silk, collars, preppy.. not gossip girl preppy but more like lacoste and work-appropriate.. but still modern. who knows, anything can go.

^Yes...it does seem that way, doesn't it? Our world is so out of new ideas that we have to go back to old ones over and over again and pretend they're "new":(

Totally its we dont have our own era past the 90s... and everything is a mix of all from the past... its like my generation has a lack of identity... but the ipod one?

Those 50's style a-line skirts. I can never find them anywhere now. And I'll add to the love for flares :flower:

I agree and second that......those rounded shoulder pads like Norma Kamali used to do.

Liz Claybourne also did great rounded shoulder pads in her sweaters. They looked terrific on everyone.

^ well im not agreeing on that of they look terrific on everyone... sorry not for me... but mother loves 'em shes really happy of the coming back! haha

Agreed! I've been wearing light cotton ones non-stop this summer! I have a to-the-knee leather one that I'll be donning this fall. They're all second-hand. Can't find anything remotely appealing in stores.

The 50 and 60's era seemed to pleased an woman's shape than anything else, everything now is oversized and/or grungy. Which works for some but I love to see clinched in waists, full skirts and dresses, and the hair and makeup always seemed to look great. Mad Man style, where men wore suits and cable knit sweaters. That be heaven now that I think about it

Sweater dresses
And I miss when real snakeskin and lizardskin weren't so hard to find and so expensive:(

tbh I don't want any of my favourite styles to become trendy
because that means that they will probably get butchered and I would get sick of them

100% agreed. However i only wish i could them a bit better, and not as expensive. God i need to find a job.

something I have always wanted to come back since i was like 10 is 50's style skirts. I think it is more common in cocktail but wouldn't it be great in casual wear!!

We're living in the 2010s. Every trend is going to come back. That kind of seemed to be the essence of the 2000s

The japanese influense: the kimono blouses and dresses and the origami dresses and bags.
