I'm not really sure what it was ... I remember wearing Muguet du bois when I was pretty young, but not sure it was first.

I'm sure what it wasn't, though ... Love's Baby Soft, which positioned itself at the time (not sure if it's still around) as every girl's first fragrance. One of the reasons I remember it so well is an unforgettable shopping episode I witnessed ... I was with my mother in what must've been a pretty early superstore, and we see this mother & daughter in the perfume aisle. They find it, apparently after a prolonged search, and the mother yells, "Praise the Lord--Love's Baby Soft!!!"
