Which Model(s) Have You Met In Person?

One time I saw Ola Rudnicka (or however you spell it) giving the same Diva act in the streets of ny. She looked really angry actually and definitely not someone you'd want to go up to. Another time I saw her coming out of a show and again she seemed to have this "I'm better than you please get out of my way" attitude about her. Maybe I just saw her on off days, but who knows! I have to add that she isn't very stunning in person, she looks quite average to be honest.

Juliane Gruner and Kirstin Kragh Liljegren - meeting would be too strong of a word, but saw them in one of the grocery stores in New York, both beautiful and striking, Kirstin is really tall, over the 5'11 mark she is listed at

I haven't met her in person but I remember talking to Erjona Ala through the Facebook fan page I made for her and she was the sweetest girl I've ever talked to ! So sad we don't see her anymore...

I think it's so fascinating how nowadays we're able to connect/ slightly interact with models through social media. Karen Elson responded to me on instagram and Binx favorited and retweeted my tweet and I felt really special, haha.

^ I agree! I remember when Natasha & Tanya D. liked a picture I posted, I felt on top of the world lol.

Agree..
Last night Abbey Lee (of all people) replied to me on instagram and then she must've gone in to look at my photos because she then liked one of me when I was a baby :lol:
Snejana always responds to mine and other people's comments.
Aymeline is good with responding too and she liked about 6 of my photos which I thought was cool. :D

I'll post here what I just posted about Jourdan Dunn in another thread when I met her:

I remember a few months ago I was walking out of the building and there was a chick walking in front of me with some really cool sneakers, so I said "Hey, nice kicks" and when she turned around, it was Jourdan Dunn! She said "Oh, thank you." I was like "Oh, hi Jourdan" and she replied "Hey, how are you?" Me: "I'm doing great, thanks. Yourself?" Jourdan: "I'm fine, thank youuu." with a big smile. All this happened while we were walking. Then she got into a cab and waved good bye

Another highlight was meeting Joan Smalls for the first time. She was coming out of a party in West Village one night and there were a ton of photographers/paps screaming her name and trying to get pics. It was really scary because she was trying to get away and they had surrounded her and you could hear her saying "No, no..." Anyway, I happened to be standing near the SUV she was getting in and I said "Hi Joan" without really thinking anything of it, but she came up to me and said "Hello, I'm Joan" I said, "Hi, I'm a really big fan of yours" and she responded "really? Thank you! I'm honored to meet you"... she actually used the word "honored" and I'm just thinking, OMG, to meet ME???... Anyway, after that little exchange I wanted to ask for a pic but was kinda embarrassed, so I was fidgeting with my phone  She got the hint though because she said she's a bit sweaty from being inside but she'll take a pic with me. We took a couple pics and she got into the SUV. Her Bf came out of the party as well and then, next thing I know, Riccardo Tisci walks out and goes to talk to Joan before they all left.

Next awesome meeting was Karlie Kloss. I had to go to my office on a Saturday morning and was not very amused about it. I walked into the lobby and saw this really tall chick walking ahead of me towards the elevator bank. When I got there, it was Karlie Kloss!! I said "Hey Karlie" and she replied "Hi, how are you... wait, you're going to work on a Saturday?" I found how relaxed and easy to talk to really amusing. Somehow we got into talking about her learning to code and she told me how much she's really enjoying it. Unfortunately the elevator car arrived and we were taking different elevators so she had to go but she wished me an amazing weekend and told me not to work too hard  I tweeted her that afternoon and she favorited it.

Major Disappointment meeting was Daria Strokous. I was at the standard hotel one evening having drinks with friends and didn't realize that the CFDA after party was going to be there. As the models and celebs were arriving people were going crazy! Anyway, I remember some of the models arriving and because they aren't known, they kinda just walked through, except a couple who had a few fans and would stop to say hello or at least smile. It was pandemonium when Karlie arrived and shortly after Daria S arrived. I guess nobody knew her because they weren't taking pics or anything, but I actually like her as a model so when she stopped in front of me, I said "Oh hi Daria." Homegirl just glared at me, turned around and walked off. My friends who were there were like "whoa! what crawled into her panties?!" :ninja: ... Anyway it was fine because Alessandra Ambrosio arrived and took a couple pics with me (Total sweetheart!) as well as Lily Aldridge. When Joan arrived though, I wanted to take pics but it was TOTAL chaos and I was being knocked left and right so I walked off to a safe place.

Met quite a few others that we mostly really sweet. Off the top of my head, Daphne G was nice. I met her out at Troy one night. Senait in my work building as well as Grace Mahary. Binx was very funny. Among the guys, River is cool, Corey Baptiste, Andreas Lindquist, Garrett Neff, Corey Bond, Sean O, Steven Chevrin, Nikola J and a few others. Mainly pleasant and receptive.

Among Designers, I've met many but Prabal Gurung and Riccardo Tisci remain the most memorable experiences, mainly because they were just so incredibly nice and talkative. Prabal even remembered me one night I was out in West Village and he came up to say hello. I'm like a nobody! He's a sweetheart

I forgot to add that Peter Dandas was really nice as well. We took a couple selfies and then he was like "Ok, now let's take a funny one and stuck his tongue out."

Wow, I didn't expect that from Daria, she always seemed like such a nice and open girl to me. Really a disappointment.

I remember Joan used to have a terrible reputation in this thread, that's with more than one person, and now she's all sickly sweet like Karlie? Hahaha, she learnt soon enough!

I dunno I've always heard bad things about Daria if you go through this thread from the beginning

Yepp..
Then the models i have met who werent very pleasent were Sigrid Agren, Kim Noorda, Chanel Iman and the worst of all was Joan Smalls and Coco Rocha. Joan always looks grouchy leaving shows and refused me a picture.

Shes appears to be nice in interviews but in person i would NEVER approach her again, she has a very arrogant vibe. it ruined my sisters day when she refused us so rudely and my sister WAS a huge fan of hers. very upsetting :(

Joan also could not care less for people who try to take her photo and express some admiration...

I met a ton of models backstage at Herve Leger & Diane Von Furstenberg in September.

-Joan: The rumors are true.. She wasn't very nice. I asked politely for a picture and she acted really snobbish about it. Definitely disappointed.

Joan has a terrible personality off duty, other models have told me about how unpleasant she is so... Yeah.

Looks like Joan has had to change her tune alot..

Has anyone met Mica or Julia Nobis?

Julia yes a few times. Last time was in Sydney last year at the Kim Ellery show at Iceberg's. She's as you'd imagine, cool and chill, down to earth, unaffected. Kind of joked for a bit, she's got a typical Aussie, dry sense of humour and infact she's kind of dorky but a cool chick. I asked her how long she was in Australia and she said 'not long enough' and she joked about being tired then said 'but I got some cool Qantas pyjamas that I can't wait to put on!' She knew I was Kiwi and bla bla bla..
She was hounded by every journalist and editor who were all chomping to get her attention but she's so calm and didn't seem fazed.
She's tall too and had heels on and was actually a giant. :woot:
