White & Green tea

I love Green Tea, I try to drink a cup every morning but when I went on holiday, I was sure as hell have loads. I don't know what effect it has had on me, it tastes great. I have twinnings green tea, I used to have the leafy ones but I stopped because It was way strong and the teabags are mess-free and easier for me.

I  Green Tea. I drink "Lipton Green Tea Oriental" about 3 cups per day. But i love tea in general, i also drink earl grey, strawberry, forest fruits and caramel/vanilla. Tea is yummy^_^ !!!

Has anyone tried yerba mate tea before? It really sounds too good to be true. On the back of mine it says that it: raises metabolism, regulates appetite, aids digestion, supports an active lifestyle, and provides antioxidants, minerals, amino acids and B vitamins.

I drank a cup today before going to the gym and I think it did give me a little more energy than usual. Is anyone a fan of this tea, and can anyone speak for its benefits? Thanks! :flower:

I drink lots of tea becuase I cant stand plain water and I know waters good for helping to loose weight, but I was wondering if green tea actually increases metabolism?

^ Everything I read about green tea always says it does. It supposedly also helps your body transfer fat into energy from oxidation. So even if it doesn't speed up your metabolism, it helps turn fat into energy which would probably help a person lose weight.

Hi everyone,
I been told today for the affects of green tea or white tea to work you have to drink 25 cups a day. Do you think this is true?
My friend read it in a magazine.
I hope its not because i try to drink maybe about 3 cups because i know its good for you.
cheers

I've never heard that! I was afraid I was overdoing it with like 5-6 cups a day.

I started drinking tea last winter, but then stopped when spring and summer came. But now I've gotten back into it, after seeing this thread a couple of days ago. When reading that some of you drink like 4 cups a day, I thought that was too much for me, but these last couple of days has proved me wrong, so now I gladly drink about 4 cups a day (if not more) :D

I will though admit that most of what I drink are from Lipton, Twinnings and Pickwick, which I guess all are non organic, so are a lot of the health benefits lost in non organic teas?
I do drink organic teas as well, such as green tea from Celetial Seasonings, and a herbal tea that I really like from Fredsted (I think it's a danish brand).

I'm actually getting tempted now to go, after school, down to an organic grocery store, and buy some organic tea, and maybe first stop by 7-Eleven and buy a cup of tea for the walk. ^_^

Yes, I know I have tendency to get really obssesed with the things I'm into.

the only reason you wouldnt want to drink too much green tea is b/c of the caffeine. You can also get caffiene free but caffeine is one of the reasons it helps you loose weight.

Ive been trying to drink more water but I get so bored of plain water so I thought Id start drinking green tea, usually once a day. I havent really noticed any changes with my skin or body. Maybe I need to be drinking more than one mug a day

I keep treating it like regualr tea and walking of and leaving it to brew...I know doing that with green tea makes it taste bitter...I must stop that!

Where do you get ICED green tea?
I live in Italy and unfortunatly I havent seen it here :(

and since green tea has so many minerals..is it okay to drink 4 cups and take ALSO vitamins & minerals ?

I used to drink green tea quite a bit, but didn't really like it cause I found it tasted quite bitter - I must have been leaving it too long! I spotted a packet of Clipper Organic White Tea with Natural Blackcurrant so figured I'd give it a shot. Totally yummy. Having a cup right now!

I like white tea a lot, and I like chai tea, but green tea is just ok to me.
