Not possible to have a fave as there is so much amazing talent out there at the moment
Maybe there should be a series of poles listing photographers whose work is sometimes similar:
( i.e. Herb Ritts vs Bruce Weber: Norman Jean Roy vs Ellen von Unwerth);
Or all time great photographers:
( i.e. Irving Penn vs Hiro: Scavullo vs Avedon);
Several photographers could be listed in each pole.
Then, the winners of each pole could be collected into an ultimate all time favorite pole.
There are so many amazing photographers who are no longer working. I don't know how else anyone could choose just one!
From the list here, I will always Love Arthur Elgort . And I have to give a shout out to Rico Puhlman (RIP), and Bill King (RIP).
okay, i'm going to remake my list..here it is from the top!
1. Steven Meisel<-always
2. Paolo Roversi
3. Camilla Akrans
4. Tim Walker
5. Ellen von Unwerth
6. Solve Sundsbo
7. Emma Summerton
There are a lot of other photographers who have work i really enjoy (i.e. Terry Richardson, M&M, McDean, Jansson) but when i see the names of those i've listed in a title of a thread i just have to open it to see what's inside. Their work is on a totally different level. All every different and special in their own way, their work has a signature and finishing touch that makes them a stand out in my book.
