Winter coats and jackets

I'm looking for a wool military coat or a cute cape-style (nothing too plain) but simply cannot find one in London! Went to Burberry and the sales man was horrid (telling me a shiny cotton version would be enough for London winter when I balked at the 2000 pound price tag or a boring cashmere trench) and they all made me look too old. Have seen one by Luella in a magazine, but am yet to find it in real life. In the mean time (because i'm cold!) i've had to settle for a Topshop one, but it's a bit short and i'm not in love with it and I want something a bit better quality for the long term.
Any other suggestions?

Babypink - who makes Michelle's coat that you are talking about? I think it's really cute! (but only if you're Michelle's age or less)

Boots & Perfume, Gant have a wonderful Military Jacket, which in my opinion is this years fashion success story!

I have an Expedition Parka from Canada Goose.

It's the warmest (and most enormous!) coat I've ever owned and as the mercury drops I'm extremely glad I have it. Of course, where I live temperatures have been known to reach as low as -30C, -40C, and even -50C so it's really a matter of function over fashion up here!

I love those NorthFace jackets everybody wears, but I want something different to stand out. IDK what I should get that's at a reasonable price.

Yeah a lot of girls have been wearing North Face jackets as of the past years. I don't like them at all.

Plz, someone, help me.
I still haven't found a winter coat and i'm getting desperate! I don't want the standard coat with a belt and some buttons, and i have seen enough military coats...
Next week, i'm going to london for a day, and i want to buy a cute coat or jacket, but i'm getting stressed with the idea of it :-/
Has anyone got some advice for me? I like a-lines, and i already have a trench and a leather jacket... I'm rather tiny and small, so it has to fit my body posture. Maybe a parka or something like that? Help :(

^ Maybe you could get a swing coat ... but I have found it doesn't do much good to decide what I'm getting before I see what's there ;) Maybe you could check out the London shopping thread, and see if you can get some recommendations of stores from people with your same body type.

I just received my vanessa bruno athe coat And im in love with it:blush:
Its so warm and comfy and looks way better than on the pics:heart:

It's love

^ that one looks great!
i'm an absolute parka fan - but i defenitely prefer them in the "real" parka khaki than in black.
best winter-clothing ever

Still haven't found a thing. Post 573 made think, i had a barbour wax coat when i was a child, and i still love them. Think i'm going to buy one now, classic, but i love it, it also matches my style ^^

^I have two wax barbours too ^_^ A newmarket, and a pea coat. You can't go wrong with the pea coat (despite what I thought initially,it goes with everything) and it will last you a lifetime :)

Another Shout Out for a barbour... I have one too and love it... mind you its not the warmest and you def need something under it... fur vest, or body warmer etc...

LOve it though and a right classic country look... goes great with tweed or mulberry stuff... need to watch putting the look together though or you risk of making the look old before your time... it def needs work... and trendy accessories always work... big paisly scarf is good at the mo...

Its finally mine:blush:
