Winter coats and jackets

^ Super cute, but that's something we can only wear here in like October... or early November on a good year

I'm so desperate. I'm looking for something REALLY warm (it's -30°C today...) but that looks good. I have a ski jacket (from Oakley, so it's not very fashionable) and a long black puffy jacket but I'm looking for something better, and not *too* expensive. I also have a bunch of other things (peacoats, short black jacket with hood, etc) but it's getting a bit too cold to wear them out now...

Are my only options brands like The North Face and Canada Goose? For some reason, I can't find anything I like :(

Love the coat seanutbutter, agree that the hood is a winner. I don't know why so many coats don't have hoods anymore.

I'm looking for another warm coat, but I have trouble finding one with sleeves that are long enough (middle of my hand). I hate it when the sleeves end at my wrists. :yuk:

Kenysha, I love your picks! I see we share the same taste regarding Vanessa Bruno Athé FW collection.
I won't be there for the start of the sales which may be a blessing...

This is my coat (part 'wool', part angora) which I paid double-price for when the Aussie dollar plummeted during late 2008. I spent forever saving for its debut in (I first saw it either in ''05 or ''06) and finally caved in to purchase it when I was informed it was to be the last re-release.

It has a corseted back, hidden side pockets and detachable capelet. I'm so glad I waited for the perfect coat, I haven't looked back!

I cant deny it is lovely and very plush... but def not my style... almost looks like it is from a movie wardrobe!

You are right though... the perfect coat is def spending that bit extra on... I wish i only had one perfect coat but its been about 20 in the last few years so costing me a lot... I guess some girls love shoes... I love coats!
