I'd say one you carry in your hand Something with a convertible strap (shoulder strap that doubles to become wrist straps) would work too.

Winter Coats!

I just moved to a large city and am realizing how important winter coat(s) are. It really is what most people see you in all the time. I haven't bought a high end coat before (the most expensive I have is a theory ~700/800 one) but I'm looking to invest in at least one high end one. The problem is I haven't found anything I absolutely love or that moves me much. Most of what I've seen I 'like' but don't love. Perhaps I need to check out more boutiques when I get the chance instead of your basic go to big name dept stores and regular stores etc.

So all in all, I want this thread to be a inspiration type thread - post the coats you either dream of owning, admire (ie. from a streetstyle or celeb pic), or actually own yourself. Any price range is welcome! and you can even include trench coats if you'd like

I hope this thread is helpful to anyone looking for a great coat, and if a thread like this already exists please feel free to merge, mods.

I completely understand your point of view from having lived in Canada for two years! Now that I'm not there any more I can definitely afford to think more about style rather than worrying about being warm enough.

Ha, I'm just the opposite. I love dressing for very cold weather, as I can be creative with layering. I sometimes give up on being stylish in the throws of summer, and I look like one hot mess. Literally hot, unfortunately.

Please help!! I need a new winter coat asap and I narrowed it down to these choices! Help me pick one. I am 5 ft tall so I don't want anything that will overwhelm me. I like formal coats, those that look "Blair'esque" like something Blair from Gossip Girls would wear... Something that looks expensive and classy even if it isn't expensive... Something I can wear over an elegant dress
for a cocktail party or formal event as well as over jeans...

Nanette has lots of "Blair-ish" coats such as the "Kiss Me Coat" but I think they are too long for me... I want something that hits me above the knee but something I can wear with dresses too... I want a lady like coat... Which one do you like better? And if you know of any other coats that comes in really small sizes and that will fit the bill pls let me know!

Do you like the black one that comes with the bow?
Or the one with three buttons going up and down.. please advise.

ohmy I this coat!!! but how do you get acces to the Guess-shop 'cause I can't? what country do you live in then?

I really like Guess, but there are few stores over here who have their clothes, couple of weeks ago I paid a visit but this coat wasn't there otherwise it would have been mine, I'm still on the search for a good coat
