If you're wanting the Mk hair colour maybe dying mahogany over that would work?

I love that red, but everytime I get my hair to that shade.. it eventually fades into a coppery brown after about 2 weeks. If you want to darken it or tone it down, you can try a semi-permanent light/medium brown shade over it. Semi-permanent colors are not as damaging on the hair and they're not as opaque

it will eventually fade a little bit... no?

yes, i've been washing it extra in hopes of that but maybe it'll be pink then?

What colour dye did your hair dresser use? Can you remember the name?

sorry, can't remember the name but i do know she combined two of the violet reds, a brighter and a darker one, to get this shade.

thanks to those of you who mentioned you like the red:wink: it really is a pretty color (reminds me of a candy apple!)...but mostly, i have two small little ones, and although some moms could pull it off, it just doesn't seem like great "mom" hair to me

so i dyed it with loreal medium brown, here is an updated picture. seems a little darker, less bright, but the viloet undertones remained strong.

i'm still hoping for something more natural looking...maybe a new stylist can work a miracle!

i just started a new thread for my post above, not sure how delete my post here, but i thought i'd mention it

chik-y, I think that with your complexion and those baby-blues, you could totally go lighter blonde... go for it!

thank you, Hanne, for combining my two posts into one, sorry about the double posting:blush:

plastic'swife, i would love to go blonde! we'll see if i'm feeling brave enough in a couple months:rolleyes:

i went to the salon yesterday to see a new stylist and she dyed it with a cool brown, (as opposed to warm brown), by matrix. the red is a lot more subtle now. it still "glows" a little more than i'd like in certain lighting, especially outdoors, but it's definantley the most liveable shade of this minor catastrophe so far!

leaves me thinking that maybe what God gave me from the start wasn't so bad after all^_^

What hair color would look good on me?

I've been thinking about changing my hair this summer, but I'm not sure what to do with it. I've already decided that it is the color I want to change, but I just don't know what to change it to . I have dark brown(almost black) hair, really dark brown eyes and an olive/bronze skin tone. I do want to stay a brunette, but I have no clue what color to dye it. Can I pull of a light brown? Should I go with golden or ash tones? Any advice would be appreciated!

Maybe you should add some light brown high lites to kinda bring out ur dark hair. I did that to my hair last year and I got compliments, but i just went back to dark brown shortly after.

Im a brunette as well, i love my chocolate hair...its a pretty hair color deeps you should be proud.

You have dark hair and you want to change it?!!?! You're so lucky to have naturally dark hair, I have to spend lots of money dying mine...just get highlights or something!

Yea, I don't think light colours (full head) would work with you skin tone. Hightlights are the way to go!

aight im goin to the salon next week to get my roots touched up, but I wanna new cut....

here's me now
