Humans decide what rights animals have because animals can't do anything about it. I'm saying that humans don't inherently have more rights than anything else. I don't think a human is necessarily more worthy of life than an animal. Some humans seem to be on the intelligence level of an animal anyway.

First of all I would like to say that I do agree with the animal lovers who refuse to wear fur...to some extend...But Id also like to point out that when Im leaving home to go to work in the morning ( I live far from the main road, bus stop so I have to walk at least an hour in the cold to get there) Im very grateful that I can put on my wool sweater, leather gloves and leather boots before I leave the house... There is no comparisation between leather boots and plastic ones ( thats what artificial leather really is) and if I had to wear the plastic stuff I would damage my feets for sure...

Also, wearing syntetics in the cold makes you static as h...

Now lets focus on the destiny of silk worms for a while...its seems like many in this thread are choosing to overlook the prosess of killing silk worms...I wonder why??

Good point, ELLE ME. Like I've said before, you can't really wear wool, down or silk either if you're truly concerned about animal welfare.

And for the record, I bought furtrimmed deerskin gloves today, love 'em!

I wear clothes that have a little faux fur, they are nice and warm too, I do not try to pass it off as real either, I am proud that I don't wear animals, especially the endangered ones. I don't critisize people who do. When people ask me about it, I tell the truth, I feel this way I can lead by example.

Oops, I guess everyone wears animals at one time or another, I also think that sometimes it's necessary to wear animals for survival, this includes leather boots, gloves, etc. But again, NOT if they are endangered.
P.S. I am not a vegetarian

I love all animals, but I have nothing against fur. I may sound really clueless and arrogant. My mother and grandmother have taught us to love fur. Besides, none of the animals are hunted down in forests, they are grown for it. And as sad as it may sound, when they get killed, its like they never existed. It sounds REALLY bad, but there's nothing I can do about it. I love both - animals and fur.

Fur - Fake or Real?

Wondering what you guys think about fur-- fake or real? Personally, I would only wear fake, but i agree with real fur only if the animal has died from natural causes-- inhumanely is just sick.

I hate that kind of woman who wear it but don't know anything about making furs.
It's stupid. I think she's a human like we others so she should know what it's like to get killed horrible.
Somebody should give her the pain that animals are feeling.

Oh gosh. Even worse are those guys who say wearing leather is the same. It isn't! Leather is mostly from domnestic animals. They don't feel the same pain because they are killed at first. Foxes or other animals are ALIVE...
