how was it in the retail environment ?
arigatone for the video, dear runner...
in the retail environment, i have to say that this collection left me flat...
i cannot say there is any one thing wrong with it, only that it did not inspire me...
the best bits for me are the accessories---
the rubber-soled motorcycle boots look really good- even better in person than i had imagined...
and i really love the triple scarf, which i tried on and thought about purchasing...
this is a classic yohji piece though, so, nothing new about that...
i think it is just too oversized and slouchy for me somehow...
even though i really love that first dress, still- it is impossibly long, as usual...
and with the pants, i like the selection from regulation---
seems like there is some overlap there which is possibly problematic...
also- i think that Y's must sell quite well because even if i liked something, they rarely had it in my size...
it was sold out...or they kept saying- 'free size'...
which is nonsense...i could read the size 1 on the tag and i know that is the size of most japanese people...
so i guess that a lot of stores just only have size 1...
but i am almost always size 2, so there wasn't a lot for me to even choose from...
*size 1 fits, but size 2 give me room to breathe...
anyway- that kept me from doing more damage when i went over to the limi feu dept...

...
i was looking for the little booties with the two zips in the back that i saw on some website, but i never managed to find them anywhere...

...
so- yeah, not my favourite season from Y's...
i think for someone younger who is just being introduced to the world of yohji, there are a lot of good things that are part of the yohji lexicon though...
cutaway jacket, asymmetrical skirts, cool cropped pants, etc...
i just have all those things already...
it's like what i said to ms ashida...
everything was nice, but nothing made my heart leap the way those pieces did from last year...
