The more I looked at the picture, the more I wanted to bag. I think the large size is perfect for me, and I love the tan. It is a color I haven't seen a whole lot of.

I went ahead and pre-ordered from saks, so we'll see if I get it.

Ok guys....my bag came!! I only got a quick glance at it since I'm at work and I can't be ogling my bag here, I actually grabbed the box and ran down to my car to open it in private.

First thing I noticed was that the box was really much smaller than I expected. Sure enough, my bag was a little squished in there, but I like the muse when it's slouchier so that's not a problem for me, it's sped up the slouch process.

Second thing, the bag in general is much smaller than I expected. The oversized is not huge at all, all those starlets must really be tiny for it to look that big on them! Plus the handles are long enough with room to spare for my shoulders.....do you think there's a chance they sent me a large and not an oversized?? I got charged $1295, that is the oversized price right?

Third thing, there was not a tag to be found on the bag. Is that normal when buying directly from a ysl boutique, or do you think that means it's a return? I don't really have a problem with a return at all, I'm just curious.

Ok, when I get home tonight, I'm whipping out the ruler and telling you all exactly what size it is.....

By the way, I love it nonetheless

hey there. no tags in on the bag but check the inside pocket to see what is there.

I am a tall person and everytime I see the oversized...I am like is this the large? I think its bc those celebs are short. Its not huge to me.

Just measure it when you get home. The height. I am sure you got it. I know the feeling though. I did it each time like this isn't that huge to me.

Also when you get home...take out half the stuffing when trying it on.

^will do! I'm only 5ft tall but I'm not skinny so maybe that's why my perception is a little warped. It's definitely smaller than my gucci horsebit hobo, does that sound right?

I'll see what you all think first. Maybe I'm just wrong, after all, I've never seen one in real life, just pictures! Plus, I called yesterday whining that it hadn't arrived, so I don't want to call again until I'm sure!

I'm sure you all will have the answer for me, I just wish 6pm would come sooner!!

i'm only 5'1" and the oversized is definitely a large bag and because it's more structured than the large gucci hobo (which i have too), looks and feels larger too. guessgirl and i posted pictures in this thread so you can see the proportions (and we're all around the same height). look for the pic of naomi watts with hers (which is the large). there is no confusing the oversized and the large -- the oversized is significantly larger (i tried on the large after thinking the oversized was too big and the large felt puny in comparison). also, 1295 is the price of the oversized. as for the tag, are you talking about some sort of hanging tag? because ysl doesn't do that. there should be a card or two in the pockets, but that's it. and of course boutiques don't put cheesy price tags on their bags.

and i wouldn't call the boutique -- they understand the difference between the oversized and large perfectly well and will just think you're a nutcase.

Ok ladies and gents, I snuck down to the parking lot w/ my ruler....

Height, from north to south, base of the bag to the zipper, about 13 inches.
Length, from east to west, about 16 inches
handle drop, from center point of handles to zipper, about 7 inches

any verdicts?? those with oversized muses, whip out the rulers!!

nothing is as overwhelming as the horsebit. thati s a big bulky bag...and you have to love the look and the muse is big...but shaped

It's funny because when I called my SA to say I wanted the bag she was like, oh no, that bag will be way too big for you. Then I told her I was thinking of it as a travel bag and she was like, oh ok, it would work for that. Except now I see that I can definitely use it as a daily bag! I'm soooo glad I didn't listen to her!
