Post pics of the red gucci when you get it! :D Do you think you'll be keeping it?

I've been using my muse everyday for the past week or so a s an overnight bag and the leather has softened up so much, I love it. I'm surprised how well the white has stayed clean too, theres some wear but overall it's not bad at all.

Has anyone seen the tan (or carmel) patent muse? My SA said it was gorgeous. Does anyone have any pics?

^ I've seen this color at YSL Paris, didn't like it. I'm not sure if this is the same color that you are referring to. But it's called taupe on LVR website. The SA at paris store calls it camel.

That's it as that's the description my SA gave me. I'm not sure about the color in the pic, I guess it's something that needs to be seen in person.

One thing that's starting to bother me about these bags is that everyone is mentioning that the stitching is coming apart . The bag is over $1k, something like that should not be happening.

Balbabe I've seen a patent muse in a color that is just a tiny bit more orange than the one in the picture know chloe posted, I think that might be the camel, if it's on the shelf next time I go I'll take a look at what the tag says.

yes, im a bit concerned about the stitching as well. would anyone mind taking a picture of the problem?

The stitching definitely comes loose a bit, on mine it's on the back, bottom, where the bag rubs against me. It hapenned very early on but has not ever gotten worse.

I hate to say it but if that will bug you the muse may not be a bag for you :ninja:

That said, I think everyone who brought it up with YSL was always told they'd repair it no problem.

is it just loose stitching or broken stitches? my concern is that if it comprimises the construction of the bag. is it the decorative stitching or the actual stitching along the seams?.....im just concerned if i spend that much, i would like my bag to stay together....i REALLY love the bag, i just dont know how severe the problem is as i haven't seen a bag IRL nor pics of the fraying people are talking about....

it's just the decorative stitching, mine looks sort of like the stitching frayed or came up a bit. it happens to those little stitches that are parallel to the big Y.

I'm pretty sure there are pics in this thread, my memory wants to say that guessgirl posted some...I'll try and look for you.

thank you mundo.....i wasn't sure if it was just the decorative stitching...thanks for clearing it up for me

  • on page 48, a pic of guessgirls' bag, you have to look really closely to see the loose stitches:

Thank you. My SA didn't have the bag in stock but said he could order it in for me, which I told him to hold off for now as I really wanted to see the brown patent muse. What confused me is when I told my SA I wanted to see the brown he said light brown or dark? I told him I didn't know there were two browns and then he clarified that the brown NM was getting was carmel so that's the bag klow posted a pic of.

Both bother me. I have an older Cole Haan bag that I adore and really abuse and that bag looks like new - no loose stitches, no horrible scratches, nothing, and I only paid $250 for it, regular retail price! It's insulting to me as a consumer when a designer makes sh*tty bags, charges over $1k and expects me to put up with it. I know there is a 2 year warranty, as someone posted, but that's not the point. A bag like this shouldn't need to be restitched for a very long time.

The Leopard Muse looks so good. I saw a girl carrying it yesterday and I damn near stopped in my tracks. Its just amazing. Possibly the best leopard bag of the season and there are loads out right now. I want one but I feel a little bad about buying the same exact bag but in a different material.

Its so amazing though...

i've decided that i.am.in.love :heart: with my patent muse! i left all the tags on just in case i decided to return, but i don't think it's gonna happen... you were right, klow-chloe - love this bag!

Speaking of patent, I was just wiki-ing on patent leather and I read that the gloss on patent will eventually disappear. What a bummer.

I'm also loving my patent muse. So chic yet understated.

MUNDO~ you are an angel!!! thanks so much! when i can give you more karma, i will!!!!

Balbabe~ i agree, i love this bag, and i just think that issues like this or like the kisslock feature on the original marc jacobs stam bags, just should not happen....they make prototypes, they should test them and realize the probelms.....and for over $1k....the quality really should be there. although, from the pics i've seen, it doesn't look all that bad...

so, is the patent really high gloss? i saw a members pics on here and it looked very shiny, but on saks.com, the patent looks a bit different....does patent wear well, or do you have to worry about scratches?
