Zara #2

I bought the high-waisted khaki shots with simple thin brown belt today.
I love them!

A sparrow onesie?? I just don't get it. Would the cat dress even be so lusted over if it wasn't a copy of something Miu Miu? It's sort of cheap and ugly looking imo.
I think a lot of pieces (be it H&M or Zara or whatever) are just being bought because everyone els does. I have a feeling that most of the things many people lust over and need so desperately get to be worn a couple of times at most and then sth new comes along and they completely forget about it (or don't like it anymore)...
(I know that isn't exactly news - fashion victim, anyone? :ninja:  )

The cat dress *is* indeed cheap, and imo a good alternative to whatever Miu Miu is offering.

That's because we can all afford the pink silk cat print blouse that costs $1000 right?

starryeyes, I dont think casaanova was trying to convince us to buy MiuMiu stuff, but is rather saying that if the cat dress wasnt a designer copy, people would be like "wtf is Zara doing".

Well but she could say exactly the same thing about the original. If it wasn't Miu Miu doing it...etc etc. Since when strictly speaking fashion is all about clothes?

I do not like the original one bit, so the copy says nothing to me, but it makes a lot more sense to me seeing people spend £20 on a cat/sparrow dress that probably will end on the charity shop next season, than splashing thousands on something that will end up in the "What was i thinking" archive.
Let people have fun.

I tried on the cat dress and didn't like it. But the swallow dress looks absolutely adorable! I hope my store has it!
PP-I am a us size 7 and most of my zara shoes are 37.

what miu miu are u talking about?
i decided to keep cat dress cos it fits me well and its cute.

I'm sure that there are people who would wear a cat print dress without a "designer" influence. :flower:

I wasn't suggesting people buy THE CAT DRESS only because it's a designer copy, but I'm sure it influences their decision. Maybe I'm just a little frustrated because lately THE CAT DRESS is being discussed on every darn page. As if it was this amazingly wonderful like-nothing-ever-seen-before dress. I'm sorry if I offended anyone! I'll just give it a couple months and no one will talk about it anymore. I remember a similar thing happened with those hideous Balmain-copy heels...actually the originals are equally as hideous as the copies. In conclusion, to each his own!!

Here is how I wore the swallow dress:

Ireally liked that cat dress. There wasnt small sizes anymore. I am interested in swallow romper someone mentioned?

This is the swallow body... I think it looks pretty cheap

Hated all the cat and swallow stuff. But then again I saw the real miu miu things IRL today and it look just as bad. Guess I'm just not a fan of those things, even though I love cats
