that on mariahilferstr.

i also got me a dress. a really beautiful light grey one. they only had small and medium. tried the small one in store -too small. i got the medium one -tried it on at home and it looked horrible... wide in the tummy area and so snug on the hips..
damn.. i have been looking for a light colored dress everywhere and i finally thought i found one...

I worked at Zara a long long time ago, and I having worked in other stores, I have to say Zara seems to attract the most amazingly rude customers in the world. And They really seem unable to believe or understand the simplest of things, that no, no one in store has any idea when the items are coming. We only see the new items when we open the boxes that the truck brings. That sales assistants take absolutely no pleasure in telling a client that they have no idea if that particular shoe is going to be back or not in stock.
I loved working there, it's a great company, but i have seen some of the most appalling behaviour while while working there, and Zara sales was absolute chaos,it seems to drive a lot of people crazy, I guess nice clients end up paying for the stupidity of others.

One of my local Zara stores makes me believe that Zara customers are the messiest people on this planet, and everytime Im there, I feel really sorry for everyone who is working there. And I get really aggressive when Im working myself through piles of clothes and then throw everything back onto the mountain like those, who cause the chaos, did. Whch is quite stupid. But seriously, how do people treat their stuff at home??? Sales yesterday were a drama and didnt make me want to get or try on anything.

But to be honest, I dont find the idea of asking sales assistents if a certain item will come back, that stupid. Of course its not the assistents fault that they dont know and therefore the question may not be suitable for stores like Zara, but maybe in an old fashioned understanding of good service I'd want a shop assistent to be able to tell me if and when I should come back, when Im looking for something. On the other hand I could tell a lot of stories (rather NOT from Zara) of shop assistents who dont tell you the truth if you're asking something and pretend to know less than you actually do,had two of those events at Mango lately. To me this is something that totally derogates the purpose of shop assistents. AT hm they were a couple of times totally unable to help me find something ("have a look at the front of the shop"). Maybe the conditions of those huge Zara-like chain stores require a change towards less customer serivce, which both sides (sales assistents who due to the shops organisation cant answer those questions and customers who expect to have them answered) have to get used to and adapt to.

went back today and got this coat <3

zara, HM... u re definitly supposed to know ur stock and what u have on the floor. and they tell u what s coming up as well.
and it s normal for a customer to ask questions, that s what sales assistants are there for

anyway, i went to mine today and there was no sign of a sale. but forgot to ask when it s gonna start

To tell you the truth, here in Montreal I find the sales associates reluctant to help. Its almost as if they're annoyed that your taking them away from their folding or something. One sales associate told me they are told not to give too much help, if that's true it's kinda weird.

weird that u say that i was talking about stores in montreal. and most sales assistants are ready to help. if anything they re happy not to be folding

Wow! I didnt think that there were so many people with the same complaints. Seriously, even the staff at H&M have been nicer to me!

I went to the Zara at the Westfield mall, London the other day and the man at the gate told me very rudely - "we are closing in 20 minutes." They way he barked at me - I don't even know why I entered the store. Next time round, I will definitely give it back to them for being so rude. Listening to everyone else's complaints I feel like desserting the store all together. I may as well spend my money elsewhere!
I recently went to the Westfield Zara and they were quite rude! It's like babyville in that place!

k?

A SA probably has no idea when a item will be shipped out to the store. And if Zara works anywhere near remotely similar to where I work, managers won't even know until it comes in. The best they could do was get a contact number for you and plop a sticky note on the register if that.

I wish I worked at Zara though. The free suit and other bonus items just sounds so nice.

When a store sells blazers priced at $150, I at least expect them to do the most they can to help me get my hand on the item I want. A lot of times people take down your name and call you when an item comes in, or they at least give you the number of the store. Who says "come in to the store everyday to check"? Also, it's not so much the content of what he said (or didn't say) that bothered me, but the manner in which it was delivered. This SA didn't even look at me when he was talking. When you have a conversation with someone, over 70% of the message comes across through body language and tone of voice. He made it pretty clear that he did not want to help me. I've also had other experiences with Zara SAs being condescending. Of course, I've also come across very helpful SAs at Zara as well. But the ratio of rude, apathetic SAs to helpful ones is too high.
