Zooey Deschanel, the American actress who gained rave reviews for her role in new Fox sitcom 'New Girl', has become an auntie after her sister Emily gave birth to a baby boy. The 'Bones' star and husband David Hornsby welcomed the new arrival on Wednesday (21st September 2011), naming the child 'Henry', according to People Magazine.
Deschanel first revealed she was expecting a child back in March 2011, later posing for 'Fit Pregnancy' and telling the magazine, "I really like being pregnant. I'm in awe of the process and the science. And seeing my belly move is pretty amazing; it's like in the movie Alien". Emily's 'Bones' co-star T.J Thyne celebrated news of the pregnancy on Twitter, saying, "Congratulations Emily D!!!!!!!!!!!!!!...Yay yay yay!!!", however, sister Zooey is yet to publically comment on the birth. Emily married her actor husband during a private ceremony in the Pacific Palisades area of Los Angeles on 25th September 2010. David is perhaps best known for his role as priest Matthew Mara on comedy 'It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia'.
Emily's sister Zooey is currently starring in 'New Girl', about a young woman who moves into an all-male flat after answering an advert on Craigslist. Mary MCNamara, of the Los Angeles Times, praised the actress' performance in the season premiere, saying, "Deschanel's essential sexiness is impossible to eradicate, but she uses all its elements - the eyes, that voice, those curves - to fine comedic effect".
