Zooey Deschanel is taking ballet classes to slim down before her wedding.
The '(500) Days of Summer' actress, who is engaged to Death Cab For Cutie frontman Ben Gibbard, is determined to look her best when she ties the knot and has embarked on a new exercise regime.

A source told the New York Post newspaper: "Zooey has been taking classes at Pure Barre in Los Angeles to prepare for the wedding. She has been doing workouts which are based on ballet barre work back to back. "She'll take a class, wait 15 minutes, and then take another."

It is believed Zooey is planning to wed Ben this autumn.

However, the 29-year-old brunette beauty recently revealed her doubts about committing to one person for the rest of her life. She said: "People don't have to get married anymore. We're a generation that has progressed in many ways, from the ones before us. "I think that the idea of romantic love is about marriage is over. Now all love is romantic love. Getting married is not a necessity, and staying with one person is not a necessity."

Nope. I don't think they have. Zooey really caught me eye on the cover of Self when I was waiting at the check-out line. But it's the second picture that would make EVERYONE swoon.

I personally didn't like what Zooey chose to wear at the (500) Days of Summer premiere. Too much glitz! The earrings, the barrette, the sequins on the dress, and the white shoes.

^I looked into it for you nanda87 but I have no idea either. I looked around some Zooey D archives at the Oscars and Oscar parties she attended.

If Zooey is talking about 2009, she didn't attend the Oscar ceremony itself. She instead attended a party hosted by Graydon Carter.
