87th Annual Academy Awards 2015

They should've stuck with Ellen as the host.

Anyway Lupita, Julianne Moore, Rosamund Pike (finally!) and Jennifer Lopez are my favorites!

it could be that ellen didn't want to do it again... not many hosts seem to repeat!

The whole naked thingy looked too much like a desperate attempt to add some dynamic to a completely flat show.

^ oh but the globes have been so awesome, because of amy and tina! but i think they're retiring from hostessing. : /

Unfotrunately they wont return yes. I really hope they get Ricky Gervais back.

i am sure it was planned ahead so they couldn't have known the show would be falling flat. i actually thought it was the first funny bit, because that was such a great part of birdman. just my opinion, of course. :P

Emma knew she wasnt going to win so her skit was funny :P

I also thought that the Birdman skit was funny specially cause they tied it with Whiplash...

Unfortunately, so few people have seen Birdman that I think the bit went over heads. I had to explain it to a few people.

I can't stand NPH so... yeah.

What?! You don't think he's utterly charming, especially after the woman who won for the Crisis Hotline short said her son committed suicide, and NPH immediately makes a joke about her dress?

^ yes, you're probably right masquerade.

wow, patricia arquette, i loved the equal rights for women, but that was kinda funny "to every tax payer blahdy blah blah!! [voice rising!!!]..." it was like she was sally field in that factory movie.

(yes that joke by NPH was badly timed; man, these hosts are on the hot-seat!)

I know it was most definitely planned before. It was just a malicious comment from my part seeing how bland the show :D:D I agree though that it was funny with the little Whiplash reference too.

Loved Patricia Arquette's speech and Jlo & Meryl Streep reaction was fantastic.

Also, we don't talk about the men's looks but I think Jared Leto and David Oyelowo killed it tonight.

That really was the worst. And to think he improvised that, and thought that would be appropriate right after what she said.

The problem with NPH is that he's a song-and-dance man, but he's not particularly funny. Give me a host who can tell some funny jokes rather than just perform a dozen bits.

God I cannot believe Anna is wearing her stupid sunglasses

LOL at Anna in her sunglasses BUT by her being at the Oscars it means she's not at London Fashion Week which is so disrespectful.

She looked amazing!

Agree! Between her, Lupita, Marion and Emma (for hair and make-up, dresses are awful), Meryl (love the suit!) and the sleek lines and necklace on Cate, they are the winners for me so far. Still have not seen a few though.

I like what Rosemund is wearing but the waist is a little strange. It fits like a DREAM. Jessica C's dress looks awful on her! The top part is a nice neckline, but it makes her look wide. I think Scarlett looks wonderful body wise, but the dress looks cheap.

David O is looking very handsome!

I feel like NPH has basically just given up...
