87th Annual Academy Awards 2015

birdman was really cool to watch; he truly deserved that award, even though he won it 2 years in a row!

i love meryl streep - she looks awesome; she's so honest; her speech for the departed was - even if scripted - given with such depth. i love her.

Adrien's smile a few pages back.. :crush:

Do we have best actors already? I missed most of the ceremony as usual, ugh..

Everyone looks so dull.. it's crazy.

Rooting for Boyhood and Birdman to snag whatever's possible, such good films.

David's voice is sooo beautiful. Very confident and smooth.

He got SNUBBED for Selma. Still mad:angry:

Holy Moly NPH is bad. I thought he was off to a great start but it is going down hill FAST. His jokes are bad and fall flat. WTF.

I can't believe Boyhood lost editing. That was thought to be a lock. First upset of the night.

Yay, with the loss in Editing, I think Boyhood is done for the night. :( I was kind of still hoping it would prevail in Picture/Director, but it doesn't look likely at this point.

Yeah but what's the Oscar to do: at one side you have the mediocre movie about a white soldier who killed a scary amount of Muslims, and on the other a fantastic movie about MLK and the civil rights movement... I mean the first option is the obvious one right?

i could still see boyhood getting best picture, but not sure about director. i wonder what else grand budapest will win. i just wanna see wes up there. he always gives good sardonic speeches. :)

I'm loving how hard NPH is flopping. I absolutely cannot stand him. Never could. Hopefully we won't be hearing from him for a very very long time after this. The hate being hurled at him at this point is warming my heart.

omg, loved that john travolta moment about his major mispronunciation last year,

now if only he could make fun if his OBVIOUS wig,

The Glory performance is so far the best and only truly powerful moment of the show. So glad they won Best song and that the film got that recognition at least.

I feel so bad about feeling the exact same way. He just comes across as so... disingenuous. In that regard, he gives Jay Leno a run for his money.

not even Brad Pitt or Oprah could secure a nom for David Oyelowo instead of Cooper or Carmen Ejogo instead of Emma... what a shame, I prefer their performamces :(

i think NPH seems "catty" and kinda mean.

oh wow - the speech for the song win was incredible. some of the speeches have been wonderful.

Oh goody, this overreaction to Glory simply makes me LMAO.
