Oscars the show needs a serious overhaul. The producers - or whoever is in charge - need to be replaced. I don't know what it's become tbh. Instead of a classy and elegant affair that celebrates the year in cinema, it's becoming a bigger and bigger circus every year. This year is just especially sad. D list celebrities. Horrible host. Jokes that fall flat. A million of dumb musical numbers. No wonder the A listers refuse to attend and present.

^ mynameis, i think you may've nailed it. it's felt "circus-like" at times tonight. too much back patting and digressing. it'd be good if they could stay focussed on this past year's films. and that's enough already.

Never understood the NPH love myself. Anyway, the performance of Glory was amazing, and the acceptance speech, I'm still in tears. And who knew Gaga could actually sing? Color me impressed.
