i hope a change is going to come soon we are all waiting for the return of the woman and curves look...or just a more balanced look of more exotic non white girls being used, its so funny in the early 90s it embraced girls from different ethnic backgrounds but now the top girls are just white very narrow in this decade, you'd think as time goes by it would get better but its getting worse for girls of colour

i couldn't agree with you more. i aaaabsolutely am sooooo terribly sick of these little girl models. they're just so BORING. they have no life to draw some personality from. Naomi, Linda, Christy, Cindy, Eva, Karen, Stephanie, Yasmeen, etc etc etc ... they were WOMEN. with CHARACTER. gah. its all been said before. i've said it all before. whatever.

shall i tell you something else that is so different that the people in the fashion world don't seem to understand is that men like me straight men do not find these very young looking models that are around now attractive at all with no curves, in the 90s they were women

women and men embraced the 90s supermodels it reminded us of ol skool glamour, women wanted to be them and men wanted to be with them but now in 2006 its women and gay men in the businesss that like these new models, we liked the latin girls movement giselle, adriana and fernanda etc but i don't know a single guy that finds gemma or daria attractive i can see that they are great models don't get me wrong but i would never date them

Hipswing, a earlier poster said it best 'the little boy look'. And I heard a comic on VH1 say like 'when will they realize we don't like looking at 12 year old little boys', when asked about actresses slimming down like today's models.

HP,today it's either little girl or little boyfor like 98% of the models. I'm a chick and I don't get it either, so I guess that's why the models aren't what they used to be. Hopefully the change will come SOON, BTW love that song & the artist. Photo Source:Vogue US(1992) scanned by me
