Alanis Morissette will have some inspiration for some sad songs now that her four-year relationship with fellow Canadian Ryan Reynolds is over, reports Us Weekly.
The two were set to be married, but the singer and the actor are done and already dating other people, says the mag.
The couple have not been photographed together since February.
"[Ryan] isn't acting like a man who is engaged," says one insider, who notes that the actor has been sending flirty e-mails to a female pal. How very Richie Sambora of him!
Another source says Reynolds has hooked up with a personal trainer. And, a third says that Alanis may be dating a relationship coach. How healthy of her!

Alanis Morissette, Ryan Reynolds Split


Singer-songwriter Alanis Morissette and her fiancé for the past two years, actor Ryan Reynolds, have split, a source close to the couple confirms to PEOPLE.

Morissette, 32, and Reynolds, 29, first met at Drew Barrymore's birthday party in 2002 and dated for two years before becoming engaged in 2004.

In June 2005, Morissette told PEOPLE.com of her fiancé, "He's just such a supportive creature. I feel so loved by him, in a trampoline kind of way. He's always very happy for me."

She credited the success of their relationship in part to the fact that they're both Canadian. "We already started off with the shorthand, so I think it's a really great base. I attempted dating many American men. I tried!"

No wedding date was ever announced. "We're just really enjoying this (engagement) phase," Morissette told PEOPLE.com last year. Said Reynolds, "We feel like we're already married."

Reps for Morissette and Reynolds could not be reached for comment.

I am confused now!

I was just putting on a show I Tivo'd and it caught the closing credits for The Conan O'Brien Show and who were the two guests on the couch? Alannis and Ryan! I am not sure if Conan was a repeat or not last night, but I wish I saw the show. If it was a new episode, they could have been trying to deny the rumors.

He was in the Van Wilder movie, a movie called "Just Friends", and the tv show "Two Guys and a Girl." I think he was in a sort of recent movie with Jessica Biel too but cannot remember the name. Was it Bladerunner?

A sad day for me! Ryan Reynolds & Alanis Morrissette: Reunited​

Despite calling off their engagement, Lainey Gossip confirms that Ryan and Alanis have not called it quits. At least not physically.

English Bay, Vancouver, last Tuesday, Ryan and Alanis are frolicking on the lawn, he rolled on top of her at one point, they were kissing, surrounded by their dogs, still very much a couple. I’m also following up on a tip that they are currently traveling together and will keep you posted on that front.

Bottom line – it ain’t over. WTF!

Alanis Morissette has split from her fiancé.

The Jagged Little Pill singer and her Smokin' Aces actor fiancé Ryan Reynolds, who were together for five years and got engaged in 2004, announced their split in a joint statement from their representatives Dvora Vener and Meredith O'Sullivan.

The statement said: "Ryan Reynolds and Alanis Morissette have mutually decided to end their engagement. They remain close friends and continue to have the utmost love and admiration for each other.

"They ask that their privacy be respected surrounding this personal matter."

The couple split for a short period in 2006 though they reunited soon after.

The Canadian singer and the Just Friends star first met at Drew Barrymore's birthday party in 2002.

Though they never set a date for their wedding after getting engaged, Alanis claimed they were "really enjoying" their engagement.
