Alexander McQueen F/W 12.13 Paris

Yeah it's definitely questionable and kinda tasteless. The fur is too excessive and feels like it's been used unnecessarily just for the sake of it. Lee also used to produce some pretty tacky stuff, but you knew his pieces were never what they were at face value. There was always humour behind his work. This is just unnecessary.

I second the notion about Lady Gaga and Anna Dello Russo. They'll be all over this crap.

...And after such a triumphant Spring collection.......AWKWARD.

Sarah, my darling, what the hell is this? After 3 amazing seasons and that fantastic McQ show, this is a complete mess. ALL the looks are wierd, uninspired, unflattering and really, just dead end ugly. It looks like something that a pretentious "avant-garde" designer would make. I'm trully disappointed.

Every season I come into this thread to defend Sarah Burton, but I can't defend her for this. Some of the tamer looks are OK, but the majority is pretty tacky to me :(

Meanwhile, those 'sunglasses' are sooo kickas$ I actually really want one.

It looks like she just designed a collection for Lady Gaga - and not a collection for the label itself.

I've liked what she's done but this is.....EW.

It looks like an ugly interpretation of Miu Miu Pre-Fall 2010.

I can't say I care for Sarah's McQueen, but she usually she tries better than this.

I'll be honest: I do like the sunglasses as a "futuristic"/"sci-fi" accessory. And I'm liking the boots, it's like a futuristic version of the Chanel furry boots. BUT, I'm hating so much the second part of the show... The first part, although repetitive, is kind of cute and well made. I'm liking the all white outfits. But then it just gets really excessive and unflattering. It's like Viktor & Rolf meets Givenchy meets cookie monster.

The icing on the cake will be Kanye west fashion show. 1st disappointment with Sarah Burton. The collection looks like a bad comedy.

Looking at the collection come up on nowfashion, I believe my exact words were SHUT IT DOWN AND SAY IT AIN'T SO. But it was, oh it was.

I really thought that while Sarah wasn't doing what I'd like to see for McQueen, she wasn't doing nearly as bad as some people said. But I can't cut her some slack for this. This is unexcusable. It's tacky, it's ruffly, it's overembellished, oversized, furry, ruffly, feathery, sheer, tulle-y, shapeless, too full, swallowing. These keywords should be used to describe The Blonds, not ever McQueen.

I'll be honest, I never thought the McQueen label would be reduced to this, ever. I'm completely speechless as to how this happened.

After viewing the collection, here is my capsule review. The first 6 garments look the same with slight variations. The next 3 again are variations of the first 6 except in a different colour. The next 3 follow the same pattern and so on. Shall I continue?

I forgot to mention the belts! I like the belts... Resuming: I like the accessories. And the first 5 ou 6 looks.

Seems to be the season for diffusion collections being better than the designer collections - Versus and Versace, Just Cavalli and Roberto Cavalli, now McQ and Mcqueen.

have no words. Colin says it best

Truth! I normally hate short snarky quips in D&C, but this collection fully deserves every one it gets, it truly looks inspired by dogs -- french poodles and afghans to be exact.

Burton gets worse every season.
