I got the 'soft mcqueen' kind of thing of thing from the first two burton-collections but this is just ... wrong. A very good example is the bow-belt. I mean, come on. Its not even near mcqueen. Dont get me started on the feathers, they are seriously evil.
It definetely looks a whole lot better than it did on the runway, definetely a very minimal collection but with very unique shapes and tailoring on some of the pieces.
I think what Sarah is trying to do is maintain he McQueen aesthetic while still making the clothes commercial enough so women can wear it thus increasing profitability. Its not a bad collection but as stated before, it looks a bit Valli. Women will definitely be buying this tho...
this is a million times better than the ugly furry mess she sent out on the runway. im actually liking lots of pieces, for once. but yeah, doesn't really feel mcqueen at all.
