I'm tempted to buy the sexuali-tee for this spring but I feel the price is outrageous for a plain t-shirt. Is it really worth the price? and between black and white, which color looks better IRL? If the white is really see through then I think I'll buy the black...

^ Try looking on ebay. Since AA started selling the viscose stuff on wholesale, ebay sellers sell them for half the original price.

i dont think the white is too see through. i have the tee and i wear a nude bra underneath and you cant see through it so no need for an undershirt

i work at american apparel and have one of each of the sexuali-tees, and 2 EACH of the tanks. they feel like alexander wang pocket tanks, imo, and at a fraction of the price. the tees are amaaaazing, but the tanks are BY FAR my favorite item we sell.

if you're thinking about getting one of these, go for it!

^ Thanks guys. I think I'll get the t-shirt in white when I get a chance to buy it.

I just wanted visited AA store website and found that they've put up new items today including this "Super Sheer Circle Scarf". I personally think it looks cool... especially the "black spider" one. What do you guys think?

i don't know if it's just me, but i have never found anything at american apparel that works for me, except for many yrs ago a few of their very plain tshirts. but lately i see all these pictures of people wearing basics like v-neck tshirts and sheer oversized tees, leggings, little skirts, etc etc and i think oh!, those look lovely.. and then i get into the shop and try them on and i find them ill fitting and badly made.. is it just me ?
the seams are strange, the cut is either too narrow or too wide, the sleeves are either too short or long.. maybe it just doesn't work for my body type :innocent:

^ you're definitely not alone! Some things simply don't flatter my body at ALL, but look fabulous on so many others :( I hate when that happens in general haha

^it's prob cuz a lot of it is unisex. I know I like that since I'm tall and don't have a tiny frame.. I would guess if you are petite that the stuff would fit weird.

holly- they are now!
toohauteforyou- I love that!

Ahhh so annoyed, I just realised they just change the $ to £ on the Uk site which means it's almost double the price :@

omg whattt the sheer circle scarf is £37!!! they must be joking! Also neni- is the one shoulder dress out yet? it's not on the UK Site :(
Also, I really like this one:

but could you wear it in all the ways that you could with the normal circular scarf as it looks terribly thin!

that is nice. but when i saw the circle scarves in the store including the tie dye one they are just not really that nice imo :ninja:

that might be it actually....i didn't think of the unisex thing as being the issue..
i'm 5'4 and pretty petite i suppose ? i don't tend to think of myself as petite but i am fairly flat chested and i just find that the t-shirts all look bad  that might have something to do with it...

Usually with the unisex clothing they tell women to go down a size. However, according to some of my more buxom girlfriends, the unisex works well for them. adorefaith, you said you are flat-chested and petite, maybe you should size down. Even though the clothes are unisex, they are still cut for the slim-framed. Maybe an XXS would work for you.

Yeah I would guess that is it. I'm flat chested too but I think I have kinda broad shoulders so it works well.

What Crakk said as well-do you size down? I know if I wore my regular size the stuff would be too baggy.

i m outraged!! the Nylon Spandex Micro-Mesh Long Sleeve Mini Dress is now £40!! i m pretty sure it was just £32 a few days ago.
