You need one of those special gun things, you can get them from Morplan. It shouldn't really be a problem though, I often order stuff from the online store and there's never any tags. Surely you couldn't wear it and then bring it back, it'll be obvious from the smell etc. I'm sure it'll be fine if it's in a saleable condition.

tangerine- yeah ik but I think they won't take it back... They've got really strict lately so it's better if I do it in the first place. Like the other day I tried to take something back with a tag and no receipt as it was a gift and they wouldn't take it whereas they used to :@ Oh well I'm trying to make a whole in the fabric of the label and then ease the plastic thing through. It will look like the hole has stretched a bit so it could have happend in the store anyway. Thanks for the advice !

kbella- yes you could easily! Once my friend wore something about 20 times and took it back. The person in the store SMELT it :| But they still took it back :/

!!! haha good story. i don't understand why they are strict now maybe they noticed too many people have been wearing stuff and taking it back haha (not you!)

have any of you bought the fleece tulip skirt? any options? does it slide up?
i'm thinking about buying it in black, because it seems to be really comfortable!

Yeah I bought it. I do like it but it doesn't flatter me :/
I bought it in black too but got bored of the colour so I suggest navy x

I managed to reattach the tag so a going to swap them now. This should be called American Apparel/criminal skills haha..
ALSO the playsuit is back- the one that comes in melagne!! It's not yet on the site but I remember I wanted it last year and then it sold out. I am going to get the purpl-y melagne colour. It's only £19 as well! I wish they did other colours though because the only other colours are melagne green and the bright red and yellow melagnes. They should do melagne midnight as well and melagne grey.

Long legs, BEWARE. The American Apparel slim slacks are HORRIBLE when it comes to inseams. I have to go up two to three sizes in my slack, just so my pant can droop enough and not look high-watered. Do any of you have that problem? I usually wear a size 28 and I thought 34 would be the standard inseam. Unfortunately, the 28 waists seem to have a 32 inseam. I wish AA would make their slim slack longer or create a slim slack for tall men and women.

how is it working at AA? I dont hear very good things about it other than the discount. How much is it anyway?

Is the store franchised or corporate? i was thinking maybe it just depends on your stores management and how they work with the employees.

Honestly, this is by far my favorite job out of all the places I've worked.
The discount is 50%, but we also get an allowance twice a year (the amount depends on your position, but it is generous at all levels) to buy a certain amount of clothes. On top of the discount and allowances, we also get "giveaways" almost weekly, where they give us certain items for free to encourage us to wear them to work and boost their sales. Oh, and free sample items for us to evaluate them and give feedback before our store carries them to sell. I got the disco pants for free that way.. it's not just small items. We also get health, dental, and vision insurance, and the pay is amazing compared to what other retail jobs pay.

Dov and people from corporate stop by to check on us from time to time, but for the most part they give us freedom to merch and arrange things how we feel is best suited to the shoppers in our area. They trust us to be to what needs to be done, and people who do a good job don't go unnoticed. A past keyholder of mine now works for corporate, and another past employee has travelled around the world helping to merch stores - another is a store manager in Isreal now!

We get to listen to viva-radio.com at work, which is huge. So basically, we get to listen to whatever we want. None of that one-hour monthly CD on repeat business. We are also encouraged to send in our own mix CDs, which get put into viva for us to enjoy at work!

Lastly, and I can only speak for my own store on this, but I am an assistant manager and while I have to play the leadership/supervisor role at work, I am genuinely friends with everyone I work with. We all get along and hang out outside of work on a regular basis.

If you have a chance to work for AA, you should jump at it. They take care of their employees, it is a great work environment, and you get to wear awesome clothes everyday. I love it.

Does AA hire employees under 18? I wont be 18 until July and AA is opening up around here and I realllly want to work to there
