And yet, I still admire ADR's sense of humour about fashion, and how she doesn't take it all too seriously. She's fun to follow in that sense. She always looks so happy.
Wolkfolk I do find myself rolling my eyes at some of her outfits; it's overkill much of the time, and sometimes it seems about attention-seeking too (e.g., the editorial mirroring her in an almost narcissistic way). As I already said l'll always have a soft for Anna because she dares and she has fun. You can see that fashion relaly makes her happy. However I feel like she somehow lost touch with her own identity and dresses up more for the streetstylye photographers than for herself. Her outfits tend to look more and more gimmicky, she has almost become a charicature of herself. And yet I can't help but think of the times when she wasn't such a "style superstar". When she use to wear head to toe designer pieces but it never looked ridiculous or try hard. You guys remember the white Lanvin feather dress in the middle of New Fashion week or her very early Balmain days?? She looked like a vision not like a clown. Nowadays it seems like she can't help but put on a show even when she wears stunning and subtle pieces like the Jil Sander dresses.
I'm not attacking her, I just wish she would go back to this style. Less will never be More with ADR but she use to know how to be fabulous without being excessive.![]()
