If I weren't so squeamish in regards to proper/improper sizing and the prospect of returning if the former renders itself true, I'd be an anthropologie junkie.!

The shoes are really the draw for me. So esoterically beautiful. Almost justifies the hefty pricetag. Almost.

I was wondering if Anthropologie's clothes fit true to size. I'd like to order 2 sweaters and a pair of flats from them but I'm a little hesitant. I'm 5'6 and 112 pounds and I usually wear a small and size 8 in shoes. Thanks in advance!

I got the most gorgeous necklace from their one-of-a-kind ... thing. I forget the name of it! But the stuff in the display cases, and it's absolutely stunning. And it was eighty bucks! I'm so in love with the place, but reading this makes me sad because I'm back in Canada after a year in Boston, which actually had an Anthropologie. A month and I'm craving it ...

I bought a pretty unique looking print top at Anthro awhile ago and went into forever probably 8 months later and they had the EXACT same top...The was absolutely no difference in them.

I love the smell in the place, and when i get home, all my purchases still smell like whatever it is that they burn and diffuse through the air.

I'm somewhat less enamored of their clothes lately. Though I love finding name brands in their clearance rack, and lesser known designers, I find their tops to be rather flimsily constructed.

Me too. I've always loved the ambiance of their stores, but I rarely come out buying anything because I find that their clothing is either too trendy or poorly made (esp. for the price). I used to be so obsessed about Anthropologie, but now I'll only check their shoes online and browse their new clothing every once in a while.

It's nice though. They have wonderful presentation, and I like that they're a bit different from other stores.

haha yes I saw that one, my sister bought that when it was at anthro. The one I bought was a sleeveless tank with a large diamond pattern in pink and black I believe.

i really want a jacket from their fall collection! i love how they based 3 collections on spices! i can at least speak from experience that their jackets are very well made, worth the price and the cut/fit is PERFECT. i haven't purchased any dresses or shoes, although i have been close to it many times...but the jackets, im obsessed with!

I definately saw that one too... but it also made me wonder how much they are marking up their merchandise. Most of their clothing seems to be of good quality for the price, though.

i love anthro...but i've ordered 3 catalogues from them recently, and still haven't received ANYTHING in th mail!!! before, it was like a week from filling out that lil' catalogue request form....are they still sending out mail order catalogues?!?!

I'm having the opposite problem...they won't stop sending me catalogs but I can't get the things I bought. I keep getting e-mails letting me know that a pair of boots I ordered are on back-order...5 weeks and counting .

I wanted to bring this item to your attention

I went into Anthropologie a couple of days ago to try the following jacket and sweater that I've been eyeing for a few weeks now:

And while walking in, a brushed past a girl wearing the ^ above Sweater Jacket (as posted by fashionista-ta), who was on her way out of the store. It looked absolutely stunning on, and while browsing through the store, I was kicking myself for not stopping her to ask where she bought it from. So, earlier while sitting in the bathroom leafing through "Anthro's Knit Catalogue," it was on page 4! . . .
Anyway, the Anthropologie experience for me is like the story of "Goldilocks and the Three Bears" . . . walking into an expansive wooden space, where I want to touch, feel and try on everything. I've even attempted the whole lying on one of their inviting bed displays one time (I am a sucker for wrought iron beds) . . . It's definitely one of those stores where I'd hide under one of the racks until closing, so that I can stay over for the night to play.

jun I have the exact same problem with the catalogue! I've ordered it probably 3+ times and never received it. bah!
